With free cryptovirus and porn advertising that pops up every 30 seconds, for your enjoyment. Act now! (And get a bitcoin wallet in advance so you can unlock your files).

      • what? any anti virus would eliminate the vast majority of viruses, do you have an av? once you are in the game there will not be popping ads. of course finding the working source sometimes requires a few attempts, that's the cost of getting freebie. probably you don't know how to do it 'skilfully'

        • any anti virus would eliminate the vast majority of viruses

It only takes one cryptovirus getting through to mess up your precious data.

once you are in the game there will not be popping ads

The most intrusive will pop you out of the game to show you the ad.

probably you don't know how to do it 'skilfully'

I have news for you. Downloading a half dozen torrents and installing them on your computer doesn't require skill. I wouldn't list it as a skill on your resume if I were you. I've been a computer programmer since my teens. I'm pretty sure I could work it out.

        • @syousef: obviously you aren't skilful enough

        • @kyletachibana:

Taunting me like a 12 year old? Really?

        • @syousef: what do you want? i didn't say it is a 'skill', why did you exaggerate it? i said you are less skilful, so you aren't aware of the two issues you mentioned actually aren't everywhere and definitely manageable. of course you are a programmer, so send me a game which will be interrupted by ads and with viruses to hack into my pc. it is ok i have a pc exclusively for cracked games, there isn't any 'precious' data but i bet you don't have any

        • @kyletachibana:

…and I suppose you have an entire separate network firewalled for your diseased PC? Because otherwise viruses can spread between them on the network.

And as for skilful vs skill, I have no idea what you are on about. Skilful is the adjective. Skill is the noun. It doesn't require a great deal of skill to install a game someone else has hacked - you just need to be able to use your computer and follow instructions.

        • @syousef: no and that spreading happens only in movies. we aren't in the 90s, anti virus and its power set - internet security has been developed to an extent that viruses aren't gonna catch up with, not even close. i have either norton or bitdefender running on all my devices. program and send me one virus can bypass them. rest the skill talk. it isn't hard. all i say is no need to pay for pc games, cracked games from those reputable publishers (skidrow) are easy to install, and pretty much risk free if you know what to do.

        • @kyletachibana:

You're really displaying your ignorance. Many modern antiviruses spread via the network and often use new vulnerabilities to do it. Anyone who's looked at the common threat advisories would know that.

I've been hit by a virus spread through a mainstream photography board. Luckily I caught it quickly. And I've been hit by a cryptovirus via shareware installer (with a timebomb) and again was lucky to catch it quickly before I lost anything other than 2 weeks of sleep restoring data. Both times using highly rated antivirus. Running an antivirus is great, but it's not foolproof.

  • nah, i talk from my personal experience as well, i have been messing around with those cracked games for ages and due to my extreme caution, never have any misfortune with viruses. anyways, time to rest this, ciao.
