Only use for ikea batteries LADDA.
I'm no expert, but I remember reading that Ni MH chargers should generally work on all rechargeable Ni MH batteries regardless of the brand. I'm sure a more qualified person can confirm this.
This is a dumb charger. I have this and its really quite slow to charge Eneloops - takes over 24hrs for ~2000mAh batteries. I would suggest going for the LittoKala.
Are you charging it with the 0.5A usb ports on your computer or an adapter?
Charging with 2.4A USB ports from a Xiaomi powerstrip
Manual implies that it is a smart charger, then says "It is normal for batteries to become hot during charging and they will gradually cool down after charging." If the charger lets the batteries get hot, it's mistreating the batteries.
I really doubt this charger is a smart charger. It may have -dV/dT capability, but the charge is so slow (12 hours) that there is no way this will work, NiMh batteries don't show the -dV/dT effect unless the charge rate is greater than 0.3C. This charger has a rate of 0.08C. Reference: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_nickel_m…
Edit: I found a good technical review, says "…there is no trace of a -dv termination here, only a timed charge."
http://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Ikea%20Vinnin…Is this a deal or is this the regular price? I bought this years ago and it was about this price.
It will charge any NiMH AA/AAA batteries, not just Ikea brand. It's a dumb charger, but extremely handy to take camping or something when your only power source is via USB ports but you have devices like torches with AAs in them. Very compact, easy to move to the car or something.
Considered this charger and then read reviews on lygte-info.dk, bought lii-100 instead.
Not a deal/bargain. It's been this price for awhile
dumb charger ?
this or LittoKala
