Pre-Order Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Earbuds $299.95 (Introductory Offer) @ Bose Store

170

Bose have their new SoundSport Free Wireless Earbuds up for pre-order for $299.95 which is cheaper than the current US RRP of US$249 (AU$315). When I called Bose Sydney they confirmed this was a special price for pre-order but would not confirm the RRP after launch. I suspect it will be $399 based on the AU vs US pricing of other products and Videopro has them up for $398 (https://www.videopro.com.au/p-11431-bose-soundsport-free-wir…)

These will be released on February 5 2018

You need 267 if you want to get good yield from your investment.

I'm always puzzled as to why you would spend so much money on sound quality for sports. With all the external noise surely you are not going to be able to appreciate the quality.?

We buy them to broden them

    • People might want them for going for walks and other relatively non intensive activities where they can concentrate on their music.

That and if I’m spending $300 on these it’d be nice for them to be good quality so that they can be used at other times. He’ll i bet many buyers will never do anything resembling sport with them but will buy them because they want decent wireless earbuds.

  • Sooo…these are $299 or free?

    • Pre-order Bose SoundSport [and get] Free Wireless Earbuds

    • They’re completely free of wires

      • They're completely free and I'll upvote.

  • Would only buy these if they had noise cancelling to block out the sound of 80s EDM remixes while I pump iron.

Fellow ozbargainers can anyone recommend decent wireless spprts headphones under $50?

    What's the verdict… Bose SoundSport Free vs B&O Beoplay E8 vs Sony WF-1000X ?

    • Btw, I suspect this 'introductory price' will extend past the AU release date tomorrow - the Bose US website have a US$50 off promotion valid until 17/03/18 i.e. US$199.95

  • Or Samsung?

  • Just bought some on the website. 2-4 days shipping though. Anyone know if they are in stores tomorrow? I’ll be angry if they are 299 in store and I’m stuck waiting (super impatient).

    • I bought them online too. Was going to wait until tomorrow but didn’t want to risk the price going up, even though they most likely won’t.
I’ll wait the few days, something to look forward to :)

    • I preordered them from the Sydney store today, 2-3 week wait for stock on the black or blue options. I could get orange ones this week. $299 in store too atm.

  • Sydney store has all 3 colours to view but they’re kept behind the counter. They were happy to pair them up to my phone to test in store. As above, 2-3 week wait on black or blue, orange available this week. I opted for blue which is much more subtle in real life.

I’m replacing my Jaybird X2s that died last week. They felt a bit cumbersome in comparison but the sound quality was way better and I prefer the open design now I’ve tried them. They didn’t move at all when I bounced around so I’m confident they will be fine for running but still glad there is a 30 day trial (starts on collection in store.)

    • Interesting. The online store and confirmation email states they ship on the 5th (today) I haven’t received a shipping notification yet. I wonder if they will send me an email stating there is a 2-3 week delay

      • Pre-ordered blue ones from the online store on the 4th and received shipping notification yesterday. AusPost already sending me notifications of impending delivery.

        • Curious to know the eta on your headphones being delivered? I emailed enquiring about the shipping info but the auto response was it takes them 72 hours to reply to an email.

        • @androidant: I ordered on Sunday and received them today and I’m in Sydney.

        • @androidant: I just received notification this morning that they’re ready for collection from the post office.
