Hi I am looking for a recommendation of a building/construction surveyor in Melbourne.

Im building west of Melbourne.

PS: Happy to get advice on what to look out for when building (not my speciality). Also take a quick poll to help me.

Owner building or choosing your own surveyor for a builder?

  Building via builder and have nominated a surveyor recommended by builder. Not 100% satisfied with that.

    Have they lodged paperwork appointing themselves as the BS with the council?
    
    If so, it's going to be difficult even if your builder agrees.

      Yes. Frame is done. 🤔 builder requires new bs to go to their hq for induction etc etc.which will increase costs

      Going to be difficult.
      
      Will the existing BS approve to be terminated?
      
      Some BS will refuse to take over because they didn't inspect the foundations etc.
      
      What is reason why you with to appoint a new BS?
