Saw this deal on addicted to audio. It's a nice aussie store I frequently use for my gear.

Eglobal is grey market, this one is aussie authorised reseller. It only matters if you care about warranty etc
It's more than 33% cheaper which is worth considering despite being an import. But you're right, not an apples to apples comparison.
I don't know if the NC is as good as XM2. I compared XM2 and WI-1000X NC and XM2 blocks more noise than the WI. I just assumed they would use the exact same NC in both. Maybe they do, but the passive noise isolation is better on the over-ears, so it sounds quieter.
yep, important to make comparisons complete and accurate.
Sounds like an unhealthy addiction at that price.
Apart from them being the most expensive price that I've seen at least you'll not have to spend that much when you return them due to the right ear drop out issues.

Check out drop out issues in all of these user reviews. Don't waste your money. The next gen ones will no doubt be better.

They won't resolve this unless they boost the power signal of the 2.4Ghz to overcome the interference (or go with a less crowded band than 2.4 or 5.0 Ghz). Unless you have a bigger unit or sacrifice battery life (which is low enough as it is).. then its just not possible. Your previous comment compared it to the MX-1000-2, full sized cans which has the luxury of using tons of power because of a much bigger battery, so of course it will be better.
BTW.. even Apple cannot fix this issue with their Earpods:

Those articles predate the AirPods being available. Pretty much any report I’ve seen has cited that they work wonderfully. Whether the audio quality up to par or comfort is there can be debated but they aren’t widely known for being unreliable.
Besides the AirPod pre release issue that’s cited in the very article isn’t that they were susceptible to drop outs but there’s was a synchronisation issue as each AirPod maintains its own connection, thus they needed to ensure that playback wasn’t skewed between the two.
There’s portable buds, AirPods included, that do a good job in terms of wireless reliability.
The audio delay on these make watching video impossible.
Save your money, I wish I had.
Certain apps work flawlessly with the audio issue. That said, the popular YouTube doesn’t work on iOS (as in audio lag of 1 second).
Netflix, Stan and a number of games all have lag issues. On Android at least.
Has anybody here tried the Fostex T-7?
