Hi Ozbargain,
Something I've wanted to request on this site for a while but have been a bit lazy, and surprised that no one else wanted it or had it in mind either. Straight to the point..
This could possibly be two pages. These two pages will simply be called:
- Currently Active Bargains - basically a list of which bargains are STILL currently active, even if they were posted a year ago (Greater Union/Event Cinema with Rydges Loyalty come to mind). This could get cluttered with many many different bargains from various categories, so probably a way to filter/sort this out would be useful
- Ending soon/expiring soon - A bargain can last anywhere from say a few minutes to a few hours to possibly a year. As I mentioned above, there were two Greater Union ones that were really good. One was posted last year, and lasted a year. One was posted this year and has no expiry. Both of these would be particularly useful for someone watching a one-off movie. This page just shows deals that are ENDING SOON or EXPIRING SOON (in chronological order?)
With the specific times, at this point in time, only a date can be posted. There were deals posted by Live Connected that expired at peculiar times (9am, 11pm). You also have those group buy sites where some expire at noon, and some expire at midnight. It would probably be a good idea to be able to input expiry time - say, in half hour increments. That should be specific enough.
As far as I know, Ozbargain has neither of these two pages.

PS. How do you post certain text in bold? Can't work out how to do it..
Edit:
I've also forgotten one other thing, but it's more of a question than anything.
So obviously if there are duplicates, the duplicates are removed. How long after a similar deal was posted can you post another one? Logically you would be able to post after a previous one expires, but as with above, if you have a deal that lasts a year, I don't see much wrong in posting it again after half a year because obviously many people would have missed it. Maybe having the suggested pages (particularly currently active bargains) would prevent re-posts and reduce the need for it too.
I'd like to bump this (sorry not sure if it's allowed but it's gotten absolutely no attention, is it really that bad a suggestion?)
