The 20% off deal is back. I don't know when it will expire.
Credit to roffey1 for the code.
You'll know because you'll be paying for it (at least $100/year but probably more)
Most, if not all, bank-issued complimentary travel insurance policies will have an excess amount that gets deducted from a claim. One of the nice things about World2Cover is that they offer competitive pricing with the option to eliminate their standard $100 excess, at a small cost of course. In my case, the excess-free option only added ~$15 to my 10-day policy for a trip to SE-Asia so it was a no-brainer. Just as well, because I had to make a medical claim which might not have been worth my time to make, if the excess was there. Note; each individual claim usually attracts an excess. For example, if you have an accident as well as a case of theft, that's 2 claims so 2 x excess (unless your accident is directly related to the theft incident).
TLDR; W2C can still be worthwhile if you don't like the fine print in your complimentary travel insurance - YMMV. Speaking as a satisfied claimant.
Thanks, bought this and selected $0 excess for my europe trip in March.
Thanks bought this as well without excess =)
Thanks bight for my trip to Bali soon, even though claims from volcano aren't accepted, scooter claims are ( with a valid Australian driver's licence).
Rated 3rd on choice as well. Bargain.
Thanks Op…just purchased for my trip in march
I bought cover for a trip to europe last month. One of the nice benefits I noticed is that it will cover kids up the age of 25 for free which is really good if you are travelling with adult children :)
Thanks OP! Paid around $60 dollars for two people for a trip to Singapore and Malaysia, such a bargain.
Thanks OP, got with no excess
Great! Was looking for travel insurance for April too! This is about 25% cheaper than the various other quotes I've seen. Thanks OP!
has anyone ever used them to make a claim? read the FAQ's and there emergency contact centre is in Japan.
Does anybody know that if I buy the annual world travel insurance, do I have to fly from and back to Australia?
Cheers
They'll have a limit to how long an individual holiday can be (eg 45 days) at which point you'll have to return home. If you're going to be away for a long time get a single trip one.
Thanks just used these guys, normally I use insureandgo but they're much cheaper for a short trip with $0 excess
I've had a good read of the PDS and not sure if this covers for accidental damage to mobile phones?
has anyone had experience with this company and accidental damage to phones?
Looks to be expired, but TM20 is still working!
Worth checking to see if your bank card might already give you complimentary travel insurance.
