Special currently on at The Good Guys, Officeworks has brought their prices down to match.
Might be handy for anyone who just wants to walk in and grab a cheap and decent flash drive.

These are great on a keyring, i burned through a heap of plastic ones where the keyring part would go brittle and snap over time, but these being metal are great. I've had one of these on my keyring for over 3 years with regular usage.
What this guy said.
Agree

Where as these ones will literally burn your house down
Same
same. I already keep one 32 GB on my keyring and one 32 GB on the lannyard of my work pass ….
grabbed 3 of the 64GB ones as over $55 it's free delivery.
bought 1 for $16 a month ago. So far going good but theres a 1 star review in OW which said the drive stopped working abruptly!! purchase at your own risk i guess!
Seriously? a review that is done in OW website? Might be just old nana trying to figure out what this metal thing do.
Yet the old Nana can navigate the internets and review a product she purchased on the line….. Lol
They have 5 year warranties
Having a good warranty is important. But having your own backup is always better.
I only use it to transfer documents. Leaving a copy on the originating computer, and copying a copy to the receiving computer to ensure data integrity.
DW it has warranty.
Had a couple die on me, had half a dozen sticks originally.
Don't really trust USB drives with anything important personally.
Anyone who does trust USB sticks for their only copy of stuff is asking to get burned.
I had the Kogan 64gb usb3 one for 7 years until I lost it :(
I copy to a hard drive also and use the USB so data is handy and fast to access…. none of this things are designed as the sole source of data, heck forget to pay your cloud bill and your data is also gone.
Cheers, grabbed one from officeworks (as long as they actually have stock when I go to pick up after 5) :)
Dammit paid 23 for a 32gb on saturday…..
Same here! :(
Reformat it, pull it out during the format, it will corrupt it, bring it back to officeworks ask for a refund as it doesnt work, get new one…. hahaha dodgy yes. but would work.
Be aware these get hot when plugged in.
I've not my used mine a lot but it does seem like a good product. Just a note for those with wireless keyboards + mice, if you plug this in next to your receiver, it can make your devices go a bit crazy! I think the metal casing for the USB causes that to happen. It's fine when you unplug though.
Any chance there will be one of these cheap but in the 128gb variant?
Good find by the way! :)
Shopping Express/Futu has the 64GB Samsung DUO for $24.80 after 20% off eBay at the moment. For the lazy bums like me who can't be bothered going out to collect.
I know not the exact same thing, but 20c is 20c. (Seriously though, I ordered last week after a bit of research and found the DUO slightly faster than the BAR from random benchmarks online)
link?
Correct me if I'm wrong but that is a micro USB??
@HarveySpecter:
Discover and experience flexibility with the Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive DUO. Designed with both micro and standard USB, it’s the all-purpose drive for compatible desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.
@bctransit: ohhhhhhhh, impressive. Thanks, bought 2 :)
the thing about the bar ones isn't the speed, its they are metal and you can put them on a key ring.
The thing about the DUO is it's also metal and you can put it on a key ring. The keyring hole is on the metal body of the stick, not only just on the plastic cap for the microUSB connector.
Was going to buy a 64GB BAR to test speed, but unfortunately out of stock everywhere.
Here's a comparison of my old 16GB Sandisk Extreme CZ80 and the 64GB Samsung DUO in case anyone's interested: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/79898/55874/usb.png
I'm genuinely curious if the DUO is faster than the BAR. Hoping someone here can post a CDM6 bench on the 64GB BAR.
I have the 64g one looks the same, so slow….. Feels like usb 2.0…. My 64g sandisk is way faster…
Dang that is cheap, good find bud
