Please, no, hope to many people dont notice this, dont want to get smashed at work tomorrow!

Are you kidding me? I wouldn't be spending $10 at Maccas just for a free cheeseburger + soft serve. Far cry from a free cheeseburger that's for sure.

That $10 can go so much further on other fast food options..

i can have 300g steak and chips and a beer for $13

        • +1

I wanted to reply to say that steak would take longer, but these days, maybe not.

      • Alot of people do, on Saturday, we go so many orders of free double cheeseburgers, and with the other promotions, it is the only time someone actual uses the app.

These people aren't OzBargainers. Hell I could get a whole pasta dish for $10!! Or if I was being fat, I'd fill myself up cheaper or with better stuff at either HJ/KFC.

Spending $10.55 for a very sad, dry and small Big Mac, soggy fries and watered down soft drink is not exactly a bargain for me. I can get a free cheeseburger at HJ. The soft serve is 60c.

How is a Cheeseburger $3.10, and a burger that contains MORE ingredients $1.10 less…??

    • +2

      Because it's a promotional price…??

  • +1

I had the free double cheeseburger, never again. It was bland and rubbish. I encourage y'all to cook, a stir fry takes 10-15mins. and $10 buys you real food

Two small McFeast meals is better value for $10.

This app will be the death of me.

  • Daymn. It's still January. The month where all the fatties are trying to be good.
All the junk food deals will be much more popular next month, when they have forgotten all the new years resolutions lel.

    • You can eat junk and fast food without getting fat. Just have to do it smart.

      • yeah, of course you are correct.
still, most of the people I see in KFC are huge and have old stains on their clothes.
Haven't been in Maccas for awhile.

      • Can you please tell me the secret?

        • +2

I don't think there's any secret. It's all common knowledge, if you want to lose weight you eat at a calorie deficit. If you want to maintain you eat your daily energy needs and if you want to gain you eat above your daily requirement. Monitor your weight, if you notice you are gaining then cut back the amount of energy you are consuming. The majority of the populous unfortunately don't know how to moderate themselves. Also it's very easy for people to underestimate the amounts they are eating. And unfortunately daily recommendations are usually higher than what a lot of people really should be having based on the size they should be and their activity levels. The advantage these days is nutritional information is everywhere, and modern tech like fitness watches can help give a rough idea how much energy you need per a day based on your size and activity. There's been a few people that have done experiments just eating fast food and losing weight while doing that type of diet. The key with fast food is to avoid the foods high in sugar (high calorie without the filling) like soft drink (switch to water or diet) and ice cream etc. And another thing to avoid if you can is the chips. With eating junk you can find plenty of alternatives these days, chocolates with out the added sugar or the higher cocoa content ones (which are good for you too, so perhaps not really junk) etc. My local coffee shop sells these guilt free donuts, only a bit over 100 calories each and so yummy (once again not really junk food, has some good fats and protein). We live in a world of so much choice now.
