    Don't think they can put the refund back onto a gift card but they might give you a return card instead

    We have needed to return stuff in the past that was purchased using a giftcard & they have always just given us an exchange coupon which has a 3 month expiry & has to be used in full when you use it cos they wont give you any change .

      Oh, thank you. That's pretty bad conditions. My gift card (purchased yesterday) has 24 months expiry.

        I've argued the point it should go back on coles/myer , target or whatever giftcard is used for purchase for that reason cos generally they have 24 month expiry but nope always just give us stupid 3month exchange coupon & we always have the docket too.We avoid using giftcards for this reason when purchasing online or instore from Target now.
