  • I ordered earlier and it appears they don't accept paypal. I was unable to enter the discount code though the CC payment screen, so not sure how to get the discount applied.

    • eBAY, and not accepting PayPal, strange??

      • Scrap that, now it works. Guess I'll.order again and ask for a refund for the first order.

        Good price for these

Tempted to stick this in an external. Decisions.

Let me know what you decide.

      • Jumped on it. Had PP credit to use.

    • I'm doing

    • Tempted to stick this in an external. Decisions.

Stick it internal and let us know what it's like.

Trust me you'll hear about it.

          I tried. It didn't fit

          Lol. Username checks out

          @TightBottom: You're doing it wrong.

    • Make sure the external case has UASP or it will be very slow.

  • +1

man that's cheap so many people that could save money from buying a new pc because theres lags just by throwing this in as a boot/os drive

  • well Guys is the Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB for 95 $ better deal?
    Thats from MSY
    cheers
    :-)

    • Is that an active deal?

      • Guess he means, you need to go to a MSY store to get one.

Plenty of them around & they also ship!!

        • I can't see it

    • +1

This one? Showing up as $112, although it is $103.95 at Warehouse 1

    • yes better deal for 240gb

SSD takes the hit if storing near to full capacity

120gb after windows and programs , not much left unless you don't much programs.

      • I heard some of the cheaper ssds can be as slow as a traditional drive? Looking to speed up a 2010 Mac duo core.

    • Yes, it's faster too (about 2x write speeds).

    • MSY must have fudged prices because it's $112 now. source

      • It was before he even said it. Must have been referring to an old deal.

  • Thanks OP, gonna put in my enclosure from the recent gearbest deal :)

  • nice deal

  • Will this be compatible with my motherboard? I bought it roughly 6 years ago.

    • +1

I'm 99% sure it will work, I've never had any compatibility issues with SATA SSDs even on older motherboards

Just make sure you motherboard bios, drivers etc are up to date

  • thanks bought one

  • crap

  • wow what a price, I have an old lenovo netbook S10-3, with a 2GB/128gb HD running Windows 10 64bit as my console/diagnosis PC, wonder if this will do the trick in faster boots… wonder if this will work??

Edit: hmm looks like it may not

That's saying that you can't use a 1.8" drive in a 1.8" to 2.5" adapter. This drive is an ordinary 2.5" drive so I don't see why it wouldn't work fine.

I've stuck an SSD in a 2GB RAM system before and the performance boost is nuts.

  • OUT OF STOCK

  • Don't need one but I'll be damned if I don't buy one for this price!

Edit: Part of girlfriend's bday present sorted because she was complaining about her MBP being sluggish! Talk about timing!

    • $50 on your girlfriend - tightarse 🤨

      • Part

  • They have increased the price. No longer 50 dollar

  • just tried to buy one and it's $63.20 now

    • +1

Yeah they jacked it, I kinda regret supporting them through my earlier purchase now.

  • +1

Just received mine and it was the retail display packaging (flat cardboard card) inside a plastic satchel. Zero padding or protection.
    Hope it isn't DOA….

  • +1

Mine also arrived without protection in an inside out express post satchel. Waste of an express bag.

    • +1

Yep, same thing with mine :( They did say they are going to provide greater protection, however it seems like it's only for hdd's which is a shame

      • That's a good start. Thankfully a drop would be less likely to break an SSD than HDD.
