Well, I needed some summer footwear. I can't just wear socks on their own, the white turns grey, and my mum shouts at me. Searching the interWeb I found these badboys. Seem cheap, over a 100 bucks at Aussie shops.

Anyone else in the same boat as me and have problems wearing slide in sandals without a heel strap? I can remember buying a pair once, walking out of the shop in them and having nearly instant regret. Returned them 5 minutes later.
No problem keeping thongs on my feet though.
Do they just slide off or you feel your foot twisting out of them? Could be abductory twist
Interesting, have never heard of that but checked out the video. I just felt like I was constantly having to fight to keep them on. I've noticed my father walks with quite a bouncy step which is apparently related to this condition, so perhaps I have inherited that to some degree although I've never really noticed it in my step.

How are these better than the sandals you can get from Rivers for around the same price point? I think Rivers also gives a $10 credit if you sign up to their newsletter, which would basically remove some of the delivery cost if you are unable to visit a store.

I once worked in a Teva factory but it was nowhere near China. [edit: not true - it wasn't Teva]
BTW, I'm not dissing Rivers, and I'm not necessarily saying the Teva's are worth $100 more, but offered both at roughly the same price I would take the latter without hesitation.

My bad, seems the company I was thinking of is similarly named though 40 years older. So similarly named that I didn't realise they aren't related.
I would still take the brand name over the Rivers ones at the same price but I can't personally vouch for Teva afterall although i do have the brand impression that they are sandals for active wear and water.
