OVO and OVOplay Review? Best Value Telco for Small Plan?

So my current contract with Vodafone is up and the coverage was certainly not worth writing home about. I'm looking for a cheap (preferably under $10 a month) plan that uses either Telstra or Optus - preferably Telstra but not essential.

I might use this for the first month, but after that I am wanting to look elsewhere.
Looking at Jeenee Mobile but not exactly sold due to contract and sim delivery.

Stumbled upon OVO's $9.95 plan that has unlimited texts, $200 calling and 1gb data which suits my needs fine. Then looked at OVOPlay and thought that was a nice bonus, data free entertainment. Has anyone used OVO or OVOPlay and wish to give me a review of their experiences? Similarly, does anyone know of a good deal for a telco under $10 a month with no lock in contract with at least 1GB of included data and unlimited sms?

    my teenage daughters have been using OVO for 12 months - no issues.
    I've been on it for 3 months - no issues

    data is capped, so no charges if go over.

    I have not used OVO play.

    I live in southern Adelaide.

    You can watch OVO play on their website, its mainly gymnastics and car racing. They were good but I'm not with them now.

    Have tried it, but isn't the amaysim a better option?

          Yeah I have indeed looked at this one, but are there any amaysim sims in store? I was just planning on popping into 7-11 on my way home and picking up an ovo.
          Also the amaysim is $130 a year vs $119.40 - I don't normally do that much calling :D
          Is there anything I'm missing?

        Its a pity Amaysim havent done any of their special deals for a while. Those 3 months for $20 through groupon were great

          Yeah and the 6 months ones were even better :)
          Oh well I'm on OVO now.
