NZ pinots from Central Otago (that's a short but FUN drive out of Queenstown) are amazing and the Burgundy-style red blends in Hawkes Bay/Napier are pretty special, too.
That's just my own experience in wine tasting and driving in NZ. HIGHLY recommended.
Since the red is Langhorn Creek, I'd imagine it's not terrible - but at this price may be worthwhile just as a cheap quaffer anyway.
Nice almost-chilled NZ SB usually is a hit at BBQs and the shiraz could also be good with the BBQ steaks.
Best just visit at this price and they may even have some out for tasting, a la DM.

I know the Cradle Bay is good, but NZ reds can be a bit nasty.
Anybody care to comment on the Tail Spin Langhorn Creek shiraz? As nice as the local Rawsons, Jacobs Creek, etc ?
