    • Just be wary of "warranty hell" with eglobal. i'm certainly not buying with them again after my personal experience.

  • +2

DWI = No warranty. Good price though.

    • made 3 purchases in the past, 2 was good, third was bad, can confirm no warranty.
people who had been unlucky once, won't buy from them again.

  • Is this bebop ver 1 ?

    • Yes

      • What are the differences between 1 and 2?

        • +1

I think you can’t do fpv with ver 1
Also ver 1 had in air lockup’s where they would stop responding until their battery ran out then plunge from the sky.

        • 2 has longer battery life and more grunt.

  • What do you do with these things after the initial play around period? Check your roof gutters? Check on the stock in the paddock?

    • +5

your initial fly around period usually ends with a huge crash into something, which solves your issue

    • I take my Spark out to do Aerial photography and videos. Puts a new perspective on taking pictures in the Wild.

      • +1

        What's with the capital letters?

    • I use my dji mav to check on my investment property

Peace of mind knowing the tenants aren't trashing the house

It's also tax deductible for this purpose

      • No it's not

        • Yes it is

          @tith:
          You need a new accountant

        • @Geryatric:

Please provide evidence that it is not a deduction before making these outlandish claims

        • if it's considered "travel" expense, then not deductible

        • @Geryatric:

          Ato.gov.au

BTW it is also trespass to surveil the property without your tenants permission.

      • +1

I'm assuming you do this without flying within 30m of any person, and you don't fly over anyone.

  • Reading all the horror stories not sure i want the hassle. Was going to buy it but this company sounds like a horror to deal with if there is a problem.

    • They are weasels. They will find any way to get out of honouring their warranty.

For instance you buy a drone with 12 months warranty, the battery fails about 10 weeks later. Like a big jerk face you delay making the claim until a couple of days over a 3 month battery warranty period that is stated no where on drone purchase page but is buried in some obscure section on their website that has nothing to do with your drone purchase. They refuse to honour the drone warranty based on 3 month battery warranty. You even supply them with data from the DJI flight logs indicating the battery issue being present on the drone immediatly after purhcase, this means the drone had a fault when it was supplied. They still refuse to honour their warranty.

Paypal do side with you but ask you to send the drone in for a full refund, all you want is a new battery. Simple solution is never to buy from these weasels again. I'm still harassing them about it 8 months on.
