Can anyone chime in based on past experience whether they think amazon will fulfill this order?

Edit: price increased to 351 euro

    • +11

      $351 includes VAT

Not on this particularly but I have never had Amazon not fulfil and a couple of thing I got really cheap (expensive brake rotors shipped from USA for under $100)

      • Thanks

    • I’ve got Amazon cancelled my order a few times, sometimes even without any notification and I only found out by myself when checking the order status. Have been talked to their CS team a few times for different matters, pretty bad customer support and experience in general THB.

      • +1

Wow - us store? I have only had amazing customer service. Even if they have started out poorly amazon support ultimately bend over backwards. But that's just my experience (at least 7 years)

        • what are some examples of bending over backwards? from what i've seen so far, there have been plenty of order cancellations and some without notification as well, just based on many comments recently. Glaymore being one

        • I tried ordering an SSD from the french store last year. They canceled the order after the price increased.

        • I had orders from their different stores, Japan one being the best especially the packaging, and Germany is also quite good at least I never had any of my orders cancelled by them.

Italy store is the worst, had 2 orders from them and both got lost in the middle of transit, WTF… and I reached the courier trying to find out what’s going on and they stated they never received the item from Amazon Italy but only an electronic notification or what ever you call it.

US store was quite good before, I also had ordered from them for at least 6 years, but I started having issues with them recently, and lots of shit happened.

      • Could the difference be because the item was being sold by a third party instead of Amazon itself?

        • I had shit happened for both the items sold by Amazon and other 3rd party retailers, but keep in mind all of them are Amazon prime which means they are fulfilled by Amazon.

        • @Glaymore:

Ahhh. Sorry to hear that. I guess it isn't all roses then for everyone. But I'd like to share that my Amazon experiences have been quite excellent - there weren't a lot of them though.

  • Tempted to get this as a second GPU…

    • +5

tempted to get this as A gpu

Can someone walk me thru on how to purchase since i cant read french?

    • +16

If you're on PC using chrome you can right click and translate to english.

      • Thanks. I got the 315euro so looks fine!

      • +3

Or you can just go through pressing all the yellow buttons heh :p

  • +5

Who knows if it will be fulfilled but it's worth a try!

  • +1

I had a previous item on back order and eventually got automatically cancelled. Good luck hope you get one.

  • +2

Bought one. Let's see if they actually fulfill it. If so then I've got SLI GTX 1080s or a spare one for eBay.

Also OPs price is correct. Paid €315,46

    • +1

mine shows $351 though….how did you get 315?

nvm. you have to go to the very last step to see 315 (+shipping)

  • +1

I've never had luck with Amazon's out of stock items.

  • -7

    Temporarily out of stock.

    • +3

      …As OP stated.

Anyone know what ASUS are like with international warranty claims?

    • +4

From my experience Asus are absolutely abysmal with local warranty in Australia let alone internationally .

    • +2

0 chance of obtaining local warranty from Asus.

    • +1

Anyone having first hand experience with asus international warranty?

      • +9

Yes, this was a recent reply:

As you might be aware, that the GPU was not sold in Australia, and ASUS GPU not apply global warranty, so this GPU will be considering with out of warranty.

Please be noticed, for out of warranty (OOW) service, there are four terms and condition will need to be aware as below

        1. Handing/inspection fee ($44.00 AUD) will be applied, it is not refundable
        2. Repairable parts/materials costs will be charged after inspection
        3. Fixed item, will be given three months extended warranty after the date of return
        4. No Guaranty on repairing the problem

If you consider sending faulty unit for OOW service, we would like to apply first handing/inspection fee on you and then you can send it to service center for next procedure.

        • Not worth the risk in that case I guess, given cheapest gtx1080 on ozbargain was $623

        • +2

@roy18: I don't value the warranty at $140. Do you?

      • Actually quite clear on the Asus website. International warranty only on laptops.

  • Confused as to why there is no paypal option?

    • +22

Did Amazon ever have Paypal? They are kind of competitors, having ebay own paypal..

      • +7

Ebay don't own Paypal anymore, they split last year. But are still in bed with each other.

        • +2

Heh aren't they a match. Love them both until I have to sell sth. Charge me an arm and a leg and still shove all those ads up my face. Urgh. Bet you can tell I was selling stuff today.

      • Thought they did but I could be wrong, just so used to using paypal these days.

  • +9

This is an insanely good price. Paid (slightly) more for my Inno3D 1070 (read: the cheapest 1070 I could get)
I'd buy one of these if I wasn't still waiting for a replacement card (got compromised somehow, haven't even used it on any sketch websites without going through PayPal recently)

    Populated Camelx3 link

    • -8

You paid more than $730 for a 1070 recently?
They've gone for as low as $549 as of last week.

      • +3

AUD $482, according to the title / Google's conversion rate. I paid $487 for my 1070 (using PUNCH, I think)

      • +1

No he paid slightly more than $482.

        • Ahh, I read the $482 in the title of this as USD ($730 AUD) by mistake.

  • +2

gona put a order and see if they fulfil it.

  • Amazing price, but very unlikely to be fulfilled, both considering the price, and considering this is the older non-OC model.

  • +13

    Great, just bought a

    de Asus

    Thanks OP

  • +5

Hey OP, how the hell did you even find it considering the title is "+0889349442234" lol? :)

    • +1

      Asking the real questions.
My best bet is that if it's categorised properly, he was browsing and spotted it based on the product picture.

  • +6

Awaiting the cancellation email which no one will understand when they get it

  • +2

    Fingers crossed it ships!

  • This is a random question but I'm waiting for my PC without a graphics card to arrive. This graphics card requires a 8pin and 6pin power connector. The seller said that the psu should have 2 8pin power connectors available. Usually will 8 pin cables be able to split into a 6pin connector so that my GPU can run?

    Thanks

    • +1

My one has one 8 pin split up into 6+2 pin, so my guess is yes

      • Thanks. Not sure if the 6+2 splitting was the norm.

        • You should be fine and if you know you'll have 2qty 8pin connectors then worst case you'll be able to sort it with a converter cable like this one.. 8pin Molex to 6pin cable

        • @Joku: Thanks. Are 'cheap' converter cables recommended or reliable enough to power such expensive graphics cards?

        • @shot: Had 980Ti running off one on an older PSU, was all good for me.

    • +2

some psu's (both of mine) have 6+2 pin connectors for the graphics cards, basically you can use them for both 8 and 6, the extra two slide off…

edit: beaten by 33 seconds, it was the extra info that i gave that i cures for the loss!

      • +1

Haha it's fine. We are all winners here - thanks!

  • +4

Total impulse buy on this one. We'll see how this pans out..

    • Tell me about it, I just sold a 980Ti because I thought I didn't need it..

      • +1

Lets hope it actually comes though…..

  • +2

Hope amazon has Vega 56/64 deals soon

  • whats the import tax limit??

    • Never mind. It's $1K

    • I heard $1000

  • Bought 2

    • +2

Did you separate the orders? Otherwise you could get slugged with 10% import tax since it's over $1K

      • +3

        i paid a total of $982

        • my single order is showing as $501.15 how did you get yours cheaper?

        • +3

          @cNelson144:

Probably not using the Amazon currency converter.

        • I changed the currency to AU and also got $982. Thanks!

  • +4

i have a sneaky feeling that these are refurbed miner cards even though it's advertised as new, but fingers crossed

    • +3

      More likely a price error

      • you are probably right, expecting a cancellation then, at least they are not charging your card right now

      • +1

Doubt it's a price error. If it does get cancelled, it will be because asus can't supply demand. Good luck either way!

    • I sincerely hope not

  • +1

bought 1 for $501.15 with combank master card, thanks op, hopefully they dont cancel the order

    • Man im getting scared, no warranty man, seems like alot of hassle, but such a good price, only if this was a evga card

  • Highly sceptical that this will be fulfilled given that nVidia's new line is still six months away, as is the expected GDDR5 due to Samsung ramping up production.

    Good luck to all!

    • +1

Wow. A whole six months. But surely prices will steadily decrease.

      • Well GDC isn't until the end of March, and they'll likely announce there. Given the RAM price drop, you'd expect them to delay until they get some of that stock, so it all makes for an early H2 release.

  • +1

Grabbed one and very much expecting a cancellation.

  • Funny how after like 5 seconds of the ad being posted it bumps up in price….

    • +5

It includes VAT in the listing, but it's taken out upon ordering because you're shipping outside the EU.

    • +5

      That's a lovely zcash rig…

      • -1

Yes, I was after 12 but didn’t want to be gready. Upgrading from 1060’s

  • +1

Ordered one, came to $501.15 hoping this gets fulfilled.

  • +1

Purchased - I guess if it gets fulfilled I'm building myself a new computer. Not putting too much hope on it though.

  • +10

Try not to order more than you need. If too many orders come through they might just cancel them all…

    • +3

Tell that to the guy above who ordered 4 :(

      • +1

What's wrong with that? It's not like they're going to Broden them.

        • +1

That's exactly what they're going to do

        • @phil1311:

Why wouldn't they buy more than four if that was their intention?
