Because most products made in Italy offers quality and design.
Most? Probably still so, but I'm not sure that's as true these days.
Plenty of average at best stuff coming in from EU these days where importers are coat-tailing off the common opinion/assumption that anything from the US and EU is better than say China.
I personally assess the product on its merits.
Not sure how these compare, but for commercial pots and saucepans you can really tell the difference in made in Italy compared to Chinese ones. Thicker base and materials. Wouldn't buy anything else.
All over this one. I’ve been waiting for over a year for Australis to go on sale. Thanks OP!
Mum has had a set for 10+ years, great cookware.
My parents going on 35+…I’ve been budgeting my kitchen like crazy and waiting for some saucepans to go on sale.

Why does made in italy still hold any cachet?
