The 2 metre Apple Thunderbolt Cable in white is $50.15 at Harvey Norman, still in stock at some stores. I got Office Works to price beat, so you can get this for $47.65 if you do the same.

I searched around, you can’t really find anything around this price for this cable anywhere else. But yeah I get what you mean about cables in general being in this price range.
Another reason to just stay far away from apple products altogether.
$50 cable, really!!!
If all your purchased apps are on the App store, you're locked into Apple for life. That's the reason most loyalists give if asked whether they would ever switch away.
jv on point.
just a sec. it has Apple in the name, gotta be worth $$$
lol
No name brand for $28.95 delivered here
To the uninitiated, thunderbolt=mini displayport.
This cable doesn’t run at full speed and the page says how,
“Each cable features the exact same Plugs, but Thunderbolt utilises additional wires internally to carry high-bandwidth data - a feature not supported by the AV focused Mini-DisplayPort standard.”
“This cable cannot connect a Thunderbolt Source to a Thunderbolt-only display: eg: Macbook Pro to iMac.”
To be fair you didn't state your use-case in the posting. For some people this might be ok…
Sorry I posted a deal about the thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adaptor and I put the use case there but didn’t mention it here.
I looked around to try and find a lower price because these are expensive for what they do.
@welcomeejs: all good :)
i bought a mini display to DP from them.
they sent me wrong cable 2 times, third time lucky.
and the mini DP socket fell apart pretty much on first day of use.
LOL
$50 for a 2m cable…
nice joke post.
