Hi all,
Just using up my Kogan data on my android phone. Thought I'd grab the latest Mac OSX. Got 4gb of 4.8gb via Utorrent, and it says file too big. Anyone know of a way around it? Or can u copy the file/s to a pc and resume it somehow? Cheers
Can't download file bigger than 4GB on Android. Help?

Bingo
Transfer the .part file to something then reformat the SD card to ext4 or NTFS or exFAT. (ext4 is most likely to be compatible).Yeah that's it, so either download to the internal storage or as Scuba said reformat the card. (This would erase all data)
Why don't you set your phone as a hotspot then connect to it from your computer and download it from there.
Yeah I can, but I'm 4gb in, any way I can transfer over to a PC to resume it?
should just be able to load Utorrent on the PC then throw the torrent file and downloaded data on the pc as well and continue…
i would think, anyway…As long as you have the partially downloaded file you should be okay. Connect to your PC, install Utorrent there and then restart the torrent from there. Let it download a few kb to create the file, then stop and shutdown utorrent. Then do a copy and paste to paste the 4gb file you've already downloaded over the top of the new torrent file. When you restart utorrent it should do a quick check, realize that its already downloaded 4gb and continue to download the rest.
Yep, this works, used to do it on the PC when one of the drives fills up mid download.
Ok, had a few issues with this, as it wouldn't recognise the previous downloaded content. However, I right clicked on the file and then chose 'Force check file' and it re scanned it and all was good. Cheers legend!
Nice work!
probably a FAT32 error, are you saving to microsd?
