          Bought $2 2xAA Remington trimmer from a very old Dick Smith deal. Rarely used, still going well. Cuts pesky hairs, & also has a good hair trimmer attachment.

      I think you will find it easier to trim the very fine fluff off the ears or else where.
      These are really weak.
      I have a proper one from Wahl that actually works, buts costs a lot more.
      I got a good deal from Amazon at the time from an OZBARGAIN posting.

    It took me a long time to find a ear and nose hair trimmer which worked well (which also means not viciously tugging out the hair from the root).

    I was lucky a few years back I found one in Japan for about $5 which works perfectly.

    I would be hesitant about sticking this up my nose or in my ear.

    I have one of these, not this exact one.
    Bought for $5.

    It works great with Eneloop battery.

    One important note to make it work the best is to wet the tip to lubricate the spinning blade against the casing!
    It is safe and pretty difficult for the blade to cut your skin even with moderate pressure.
