Coke No Sugar is now available in all Woolworths stores

Oh good… I can stop boycotting them now.

    • -1

Not sure if you’re joking, but I was a little annoyed they refused to stock it originally. Kinda glad they changed their mind since it seems most prefer it over Coke Zero, including me.

      • Not sure if you’re joking

Nope, not joking… Have been shopping more at Coles since Woolies refused to stock it…

      • Don't think they had a choice, I don't think they make coke zero anymore…

        • +1

Glad it wasn’t just me then.

Scud - They do still make Zero, I just think that the majority of customers prefer No Suger versus Zero and their hand was forced.

Saying that, I don’t think Zero will be around for much longer. Interestingly, in the US they kept the Zero branding but changed to the No Sugar formula.

        • @Ashman247: Coke Zero was discontinued and replaced with Coke No Sugar. If you see Coke Zero on shelves, it's old stock they still have

coke zero was better .. this tastes just like diet coke.. :( bring back Coke Zero! (no i don't believe anyone who says its the same thing!… lol)

    • +3

      coke zero was better

      they use the same sweetener

no i don't believe anyone who says its the same thing!

coke no sugar tastes closer to real coke than coke zero does.

    • +3

Coke no sugar tastes nothing like diet coke. I have been drinking Zero for years and No sugar is a step closer to real coke for sure

      • i dont know why .. i dont like it .. i think of diet coke when i have it.. :( i wanted to like it!

        • +4

I had a diet coke last week, couldn't believe how bad it was compared to zero and no sugar

        • @Bargaphile: yeh i know what you mean… tastes like medicine… lol

        • @scud70:

          Problem is the word "Diet".

        • I remember reading somewhere recently that a higher proportion of women drink diet coke compared to coke zero.

        • @jv: the diet coke ad from the 80's and 90's… The effect lives on loll

I'm so used to drinking Zero that now I don't want it to taste like the original coke because it tastes odd to me. I like coke zero and to me coke no sugar tastes.. watered down and flavourless :( I am going to be sad when all the stores finally sell out of zero.

        • +1

Yeh I'm the same…I bought the last few cases from woolies they were clearing them out to make room for the no sugar coke lol

        • @scud70: Sounds like I have to stock up if they're introducing it now :( booo

  • +5

I agree with the sentiments the New "Coke Zero" does taste different and I for one don't like it…..

I've even started buying {shock , horror….} Pepsi Max and I think I prefer the taste of Pepsi Max to Coke No Sugar and believe me I never thought I'd say those words… "Like Pepsi Max"

    • Yep, I have switched from Zero to Max. Cheaper and better taste.

    • Le gasp!

  • I got this email in the shop, was too excited, and missed 'start tomorrow'. should I go back and refund tomorrow? lol

    • +4

I'm surprised if you were so oblivious, you are an OzBargainer! Maybe try to take it back but next time be more careful lol

They need their 'L' plates back again.

        • +5

They haven't even got their L plate to start with..

        • +4

          @hogwarts:

          7 years and still haven't received 'L' plates… Is that a record?

  • +1

Am I the only one who came here looking for the Ben Cousins jokes?

  • Oh shit.. I was hoping with the fact that Coke Zero was still around that they had given up on the idea of getting rid of it…

Coke Zero is just perfect for me, with Coke No Sugar just being garbage. Not sure what they've changed, but I really dislike it. If they do go down this pathway I'll have to switch to something else which will suck.

At least there seems to be a few sales on for it… I might have to stock up the fridge with a few month's supply if they do end up going down the pathway of removing Coke Zero. :(

    • Ah man so glad I'm not alone loll!

  • Guys, try not to have too much 'sugar free' drinks.. aspartame is known to destroy DNA

    https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/artificial-sweeteners-a…

    • What's too much? I drink a can or two a week…No other sweetener…used to have a lot in coffee's but haven't for years now… Hope if I mutate I get a super power lolll

    • +2

sorry which part in your link say "is known to destroy DNA"? i'm unable to find any mention of the word DNA on the entire page? the mentions of diabetes, stroke, dementia etc all say it's just by association or there's little evidence or more research is needed.

not saying they are completely harmless either, just saying all of the evidence in that particular article isn't definitive at all.

      • Also wondering the same thing.. there is nothing in that link that mentions anything about DNA :/

All the research i've seen on the potential dangers of aspartame came back with little evidence to suggest it is dangerous unless you are consuming over 20 cans a day, even then the findings were based on rats and not humans.

  • I didn't get this offer :( But I remember reading that Woolworths was not going to have Coke No Sugar because their customers already had a wide range of Soft Drinks to purchase and they didn't want to add another. WTH happened, Woolworths?

    • Customers wanted No Suger and customers were buying elsewhere. They had to sell it to give customers the choice of products they wanted, not what Woolies thought they wanted.

I've not received any email from rewards to activate freebie

  • 5 out of 6 family accounts got this.

  • got it…. but gotta to remember to use it now…

  • My favourite tasting sugar free cola is coke decaffeinated. Hard to find in cans.

  • I don't like Coke of any kind - but as an Ozbargain, why pass up on something free? I know someone will drink it…

That said - I could not find it anywhere in my woolies today. Where they hiding it at??
