AFL 2017 game, if you disabled cheats then Essendon vanished, in this one you can only play England in easy mode.

    • +17

in this one you can only play England in easy mode.

When you play India, you can also "script" the match via in-game purchases

      • +2

They are also releasing DLC for chucking and also wetting the pitch the night before a match
Also all white teams win the coin toss the majority of the time Easter egg

        • They do this to give you a sense of pride and accomplishment

    • Great, sounds just like their women.

    • Aren't England always in 'Easy' mode? ;(

When you want a good cricket game, but the last one that was actually any good was Shane Warne 97 and you're too jaded too spend this much on the chance it will be another duck.

When you want a good cricket game

This was by far the best…

      • Hmm, fascinating.

      • +2

We all had one of those.

    • I think you mean Super International Cricket was the last good cricket game.

  • These games never really go on sale.

    Why not?

    • +4

I assume it's because it's a small Aussie Developer. Next time EB games have a sale or JB Hifi look for this or Rugby League Live 4 or AFL Evolution (Their other games). They rarely if ever go on sale and will be the same price until the next edition comes out.

      • I assume it's because it's a small Aussie Developer.

I guess they're not really into marketing and increasing their sales then…

    • I'd assume it's because the sort of people that buy these games (very casual gamers) would buy it equally readily at full price.

      • +1

More people would buy it though if it was discounted.

There will only ever be one cricket game worth playing.

Super international cricket on the nes.

    • +6

      If was actually the snes.

      Bloody loved it!

    • +2

Totally forgot about that game…what a classic.

    • +2

So true. T. Du, the Aus wicket keeper with terrible all round averages, somehow always managed to save me from a batting collapse. Shane Warne Cricket on the PS1 was also a good game for a laugh with friends.

  • Congratulations you've cracked the cheat code. Good luck.

  • +3

Is it realistic (sim) or can you actually win with England?

  • Has anyone here ordered from OzGameShop?

If so, what was your experience with their delivery? I ordered two PS4 games on Monday 11th and paid a bit extra for Express Shipping which their website says takes 5-8 days to Melbourne Metro.

I realise the 8 days hasn't passed yet but just wanted to hear of other people's wait times.

    Thanks

    • Very long I've bought a few things from them before they always do arrive but minimum 2 1/2 weeks for me.

  • You'd have to pay me to play these games…

  • Game is great, finally having licensed players makes it a cut above last years Don bradman 17.

  • +1

As a Brit, I want to erase the Ashes from my memory…Total Recall style ;)

  • Does it have couch multiplayer?

    • +1

      Capabilities
      Local multiplayer - (4)
      Online multiplayer - (2-4)
      Online co-op
      HDR
      4K Ultra HD
      Local co-op

  • +1

If it’s similar to Don Bradman cricket 14 then it’s worth a shot. Best cricket simulator I’ve ever played, besides Mac Cricket of course.

  • Has anyone really played it and like to provide honest review?

  • Thanks Op was waiting for the price drop. Same developers as Don Bradman 14 which was one of the best cricket games .Tossing between Don Bradman 17 and Ashes .

    • I have DB17 - it's a good game but without all the licencing and branding. Ashes has that, but I haven't played it

      • I was going to get DB17 but reviews and licensing gave Ashes the upper hand.

        • The new game is worth the 50 buck upgrade over 17 but I wouldn't pay much more.

  • Only has licensing for poms and Aussies

  • Back to $64 unfortunately.
