Obviously a cheap imitation of the Jackson 5. It’s even in black too. SMH.

    • +11

      Maybe they are including Janet.

      • +6

        Name checks out

      • +8

I think Janet and Michael are the 2 Spaced Sockets.

        • +1

That can apply on multiple levels, they were the more reality challenged ones or they were the ones with successful solo careers.

      • Please, for God's sake! She's a girl!

        • +1

Well these are sockets, so, you know.

        • @try2bhelpful:

          And they're surge protected.

        • @Scab: for those heavy electricity requirement days.

Obviously a cheap imitation of the Jackson 5

      'Blame it on the Woolies'

    • Woolies, “I’ll Be There” tomorrow for “The Love You Save”🎵

    • +4

The black will wear off soon for the Michael socket.

For those with Targeted 1000 pts for $20 spend, buy 2 for $21 & get $5 of points back.

I feel a bit ripped off - based on the photo on the pack, I bought one, plugged it in, and my wife didn't even notice. I'll be promptly returning for a refund.

    • +3

Same here, saw the guy and girl hugging in the photo.

Bought one, plugged it in, waited an hour and no women came running.

      Spewing!!

    • +1

You're supposed to plug it in and then grab your wife… like in the photo on the pack.

      He who hesitates is lost.

      • +1

Instructions unclear, grabbed singingwolf's wife and she was not impressed.

        • Either way, false advertising…

        • should have grabbed springwolf, he cups

  • +6

Don't waste your time terrible quality got it home and the sockets were very poor quality. It was promptly returned for refund.

    • +2

      That you Joe Jackson

      • I'm "Watching the Detectives" for "The Verdict"😉

        • +1

          Elvis Costello

        • @YogaPants:
          "One More Time"😉
Oops, "Watching" is an "Obvious Song" by Costello.
          "The Verdict" is Joe Jackson.

          @Infidel:

          Yes, real men know.
You got the fever, but I'm not mad at you. Wasn't a rant & rave, breaking us in two.

I put down my Sunday papers to have a tilt. Prob out of style, but it's different for girls.

It's me and you (against the world), Happy ending.!

          I'm steppin' out.

        • @YogaPants:
          Love it🎵
Damn, you've used up most of the song titles & my favourite ones may be inappropriate (eg Happy Loving Couples)😉

I was introduced to the music of Joe Jackson & Elvis Costello on the same day, very long ago. (So Accidents Will Happen, oops Costello again😂) Bought Look Sharp & My Aim Is True LPs to start my small collection.

Yes YogaPants - seems It's me and you (against the world) - another favourite.

Ffs I bought one with 4 slots for same price just a day or so ago.

Actually that one has switches. This doesn't. I needed two so I'll mix and match.

Anyone know if this is until next Wed?

  • +6

Been using these Arlec ones from Bunnings and they're great.

Never really knew what a "good" price for a power board was; only that I like the Mi strip price lol. If this Woolies one is considered pretty good deal then I might pick up this Arlec one as I could use some individually switched ones. Got enough regular ones.
I was at Bunnings today too lol >_<

    • +3

The Arlec twin pack ones are significantly inferior than the single pack.

      Arlec: https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-1-8m-lead-powerboard-surge…
      HPM: https://www.bunnings.com.au/hpm-10-amp-4-outlet-surge-protec…

Functionally probably comparable, just the material and finish look very cheap. Compare side by side you can tell.

    • yeah the arlec ones seem to be a bit better quality

Just bought a couple today, ticket price is $10.5 but scanned at $8.5.
Should I ask for a full refund quoting the Scanning Code of Practice? :D

    • nice one. You should post as a deal. What store?
You know the code only applies if the item is cheaper than the scanned price right?

      • Greensborough vic, but I thought woolie system should be nation wide on catalogue items?

        • -3

          No on that

No on supermarket code of practice because its now a myth.

And since woolys sell so much out of date food at Christmas don't bother much at Christmas - got better things to do than check the dates on everything. Last week checked why the raw quiches were 2 different colours - because the orange 1 was 10 days out of date.

          Full price free abortion.

    • +1

That code of practice has meant sht for me. I've referenced it 3x in the last two years. On <$10 items. And the seemed to know it better than i. Politely told me "Bzzt, no deal".

      • +4

Only use it about once a month in store (shop online now) - was as frequently as few times per week. Saved me a lot of $$$.

Got free smoked salmon (~$20 packs) many times over months, other free things from Woolies, Coles & IGA. Usually the shelf price is corrected immediately, can only receive 1 free, so off to the next store for free food etc. One IGA joked it might be cheaper to employ me.

Other items were free despite not being a scanned item - like mispriced fruit last week at Coles (paid by FlyBuys, full refund in $).

Used to get free deli items (imported cheeses, olives, bacon, ham) @Woolies because scales weren't updated at start of sale week, so deli items in catalog were overpriced on sticker if arrived early. The deli manager would joke each week - what did I want free😉
So consulted catalog, made selection at deli, checked it was wrong per kg price on scale, paid at checkout, straight to service counter who rang deli manager - free.

Ate expensive self-serve nuts free from Woolies as a student years ago, as scanned per kg price on sticker was always higher than shelf price - for a year. Woolies staff never replaced the old shelf price. There was always a huge bowl of nuts at my place for everyone.

Using the Scan guarantee is doing others a favour by correcting mistakes on supermarket's system. So many people must be ripped off by overpriced items. (But not in the case above of underpriced items! Those are not free.)

  • I saw this one and other Jackson power boards on sale by half price at Woolies. There’s a 4 socket one with individual switches reduced to $9.99 and the child safe one with safety covers reduced to $7.50
The price ticket indicates they’ll be on sale until 2.1.18
    The packaging states ‘lifetime warranty’
