Wow good price from HN I wonder if we will see cheaper during Boxing day sales because recent sales have been pretty average

Certainly good deal compared to very recent ones, +1 for those who need it immediately. I have seen one at $229, which I missed

  • I bought an Xbox One S and a Sony X940E (X94E) and for some reason the Xbox is saying the TV doesn't support 10 bit at 60Hz, anyone know what I'm doing wrong or where I should be asking this kind of question?

    • Go in to the external inputs on TV Settings and select Enhanced HDMI option

      • Thanks! I’ll try that when I get home!

  • How will these go long term now the One X is out? Will the game availability dry up?

    • +4

Xbox One X and Xbox One/One S all play the same games. It's just that some games have been enhanced for the One X with higher resolution textures/refresh rates etc.

What device did you write this comment on?

      • A device that allows the user to turn off wireless rather than keep it on every second the device is turned on.

        RIP 100% wired console gaming.
        Microwaved gaming for the win.

You should read up on wired radiation. Wireless transmissions are quite scattered and random whereas cables running everywhere create more powerful forms of electromagnetic radiation.

Think of a magnet with a north and south pole, the magnetic fields, and how this applies to wires.

Wireless transmissions cause slight damage due to the scattered pattern, but wires are like spears.

It sounds true because it is.

Google Glass has had problems due to this very effect of wired radiation - people were going blind.

Slow down turbo, you're going to blow a gasket.

The World Health Organisation has classified WiFi as "2b/possibly carcinogenic".

That category includes coffee, carpentry and pickled vegetables.

WiFi isn't dangerous, and there's stacks of actual scientific evidence out there that'll explain why.
It's wavelength is far too long and far too weak to cause any distortion to DNA or cause cancer etc.

Don't get your 'facts' from YouTube. Those videos are there to do three things… to cause un uproar, to then be shared, and most importantly to achieve a revenue stream from advertising.

Don't be a lemming and follow the conspiracy crowd off the cliff of sound reasoning. Get your real news from legitimate sources.

Personally I don't care what the WHO is saying. They are part of the problem and as a result will only speak in real terms long after key shonks have made their bribe money and lived their lives out.

Plenty of studies showing it's far from harmless. Too much money to be made tho. Youtube not being a credible source is down to your perception. Like any medium, it's up to us to sort the crap from the good…and both are possible and virtually guaranteed when vested interests on both sides put their info out.

        • @UFO:

I don't think the University, the head of the department, or the multiple degree highly credentialed speaker are in it for the YouTube advert revenue the video probably won't earn, nor are they likely to be trying to cause an 'uproar'.

I think you're right about the sharing motive though, they clearly imply they are trying to get humanity to at least check if the radiation in question is safe.

If anybody actually watched the presentation properly it would be difficult to argue we should at least investigate, like we did with cigarette smoke and all manner of other questionable practices, many of which had the scoffers at the suggestion of doing that just like this topic does.

  • Still waiting for the AC origins & Star Wars bf2 bundle to come back :(
