      Doesn't require a phD to cancel auto-renewal

    • -1

I have to agree, they do hide auto-renew in the menus so that many will fall susceptible to auto-renew. Happened to me.

      • +2

        It's not hard to find.

  • I still have four months left. this will add 12 more rather than make it 12 yeah?

    • Yes

  • If you bought enough years of ps4 plus to still have an active subscription running while the PS5 was launched, could I start my ps4 account up on a PS5 and have access to online or would I have to buy a new subscription? Does anyone remember what happened with ps3 to ps4?

    • +4

PS Plus is separate to the console, so 99% chance it will carry.

    • +1

It isn't a 'Ps4 account', it's a psn account. You can use the same account of ps3/ps4/vita. So yes, if you have ps+ when the ps5 releases, you can use it for that.

Also note that I think the max you can stack is 3 years

      • +1

        I've actually stacked 4 years.

        • Yeah me too, my expiry date is in July 2021.

        • Close enough haha

  • +3

spewing. just renewed it last week.

    • So did I. Didn't think there'd be any discounts on it leading up to Xmas. Whoops >_<

  • Anyone know of any discounted psn wallet top ups? This deal would be really good stacked with a 20% off wallet top up.

  • +4

Thank you my dude. My subscription was actually due for auto renewal today, and the price on my ps4 was still at $79.95. Didn't want to take the risk of relying on them to adjust the price. So cancelled auto renew, bought in app, and saved $20. Thanks again champ.

    • :-)

  • I'm new to PS4, you can't buy this multiple times and stack them can you?

    • Yes I think 3 times???

  • -2

Got mine for $40 AUD off amazon the other day!

    • +1

For AU PSN? If so you should post these deals up, buddy :)

      • Probably US

        • And it was USD39.99

      • +1

It was AU PSN. Yeah I shouldve posted the deal. I just assumed it wouldve been on here for sure :(

  • +1

    I guess $5 a month ain't too bad.

    • I have 2 others on mine who pay their share, just like Netflix,Uploaded.net & Spotify. Really adds up!

      • How does that work?

        • Just give them your username and password for PSN and it will log on their PS4.

        • @repair-pro: and if you want to play with them, they can just set your account as primary ps4 and then use other account to play with yours.

  • Anyone having trouble topping up their wallet? Topped up 40 but keep getting error now.

Btw, does it stack only after purchase or can be done in cart?

    • Not sure how to solve it but I always have issues with payment when trying to make purchases, sometimes I try processing the top up from the console itself, sometimes from my pc browser, usually one always fails, and the other succeeds.

      • Thanks, got giftcard from JB and topped up instead. Stacked 2 years 😊

  • -4

Came in here for a bargain at the chemists.

  • -5

Not worth it. Skipping. Jumping back to PS3 free of charge.

No casual players would pay for it

    • -1

Yes neg me if you like there's no value in PSN just for multiplayer. Said it many times.

If you only play your console once a week, this price is not worth a cent.

Even the bundle games subscriptions the titles are not as good compare to the hey days you get AAA titles every month

If you sub just for multiplayer good on you because you must have lots of disposable income

      • Agreed there is 1000s of PS3 games you really could do fine without it.
For a casual it's not worth it.

      • +1

you're free to think it's not worth it, but $5 a month isn't too outrageous imo (and i'm on uni student income). depends on how much you play i guess but i get a fair amount of entertainment from online play. i get that it sucks that it used to be free and isn't any more but the way i see it, the buy-in (the PS4 itself) is pretty cheap for the hardware you're getting so an optional subscription on top of that is okay.

      • -1

If you consider $60 per year for entertainment 'lots' of disposable income, and still playing ps3 in 2018, you're kind of failing at life.

Also if you're a very casual gamer as you say, you could just play the games they provide free every month and theoretically never need to buy a game again. If that's not worth a cent to you, what exactly do you expect for $5 per month?

Or stick to playing ps3 like a neanderthal , we really don't care.

  • Can the auto-renewal be turned off after purchasing the 12 months?

    • +1

Yes. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time.

  • Can I use those Australian ps+ vouchers (from jb hifi) to recharge other countries psn accounts?

Ps+ subscriptions in other countries are waaaaaay cheaper than 1s in Australia wtf.

    • +1

      no

      • Thank you
With 25% off, it still cost more than other countries PS+ at full price.

        Aussie tax

  • +1

I was tempted by this.. but when I checked I already have membership until February 2020… some promo previously on gift cards.

Feels good (although a bit worrying I don't remember buying things in mass at discount).

  • I'm sticking with my $35/year Indonesian PSN. Use it purely for multiplayer access (set the account as your main and it shares with all other accounts) and don't care about the "free" rental games.
    YMMV.

  • Why wouldn't you just buy PS+ on an Asian for $30 a year?
Unless you have a Vita then there is no disadvantage, and you save $50 a year.

    • Do you make a Asian account for psn and pay $30. I would be up for a voucher.

      • see reply below.

    • how do you buy a PS+ account from a different country? and i can still play my PS+ games from my current AU account?

      • see reply below.

    • could you tell us more about this please?

      • +1

Have a read through this post.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/271501

Follow the link in one of the comments to create and Indonesian account, then buy a PS+ voucher from the mentioned site, they email it to you.

Them just add that account to your PS3/PS4 and sign in and redeem the voucher.

Will be able to play online with any other account in the System. And play the free games with any account in the system too.

        • thanks mate, much appreciated :)

        • How much does it cost? I still have 6months aus psn so probably no point doubling up right now.

  • Added 2 different credit cards but still keep getting the error
"We were unable to auto top up your wallet as requested. Please check your payment details in account settings.
    Update Your Billing Information"
