You beat me by few seconds.

  • I don't know why, but I've got confirmation for purchase on my email ;)

  • Wonder what current it can handle…

low quality charging cables will kill your battery life. And 99% of retractable cables are especially low quality.

      How so?

Have a look at this, not all cables are the same: http://bit.ly/drlightning or http://bit.ly/drmicrousb

I learnt this the hard way, having my battery life lose 80% of capacity on 2 seperate iphones. Apple can't diagnose it properly either, claiming that the cable can't effect the battery life. But lots of engineers on the internet have discussed how cables with high voltage drop can screw up the chip that regulates the battery in the phone. Now I stick to only official cables or ones that are rated highly in those spreadsheets. I used to love the retractables for the convenience, but they're rubbish cables.

        • Thanks for the information and links to spreadsheets, appreciated.

Now to look up some engineer papers on this issue of low quality charging cables permanently damaging batteries.

I have 2 of these. One lightning plug stopped working after a week. The another lightning plug stopped working after a few months and stopped retracting.
Both micro USB plug work thought.

    • I agree on the low quality part. I bought a similar thing off eBay and it barely detects. Don't know how it kills your device's battery though.

Thanks OP. Another back up cable…

I can confirm that the recently bought lightning to micro USB cable from this seller does NOT work for any of my Apple devices

    • which one exactly?

this one works on my iPod Touch 6th gen on iOS 11.2.

  • looks very gimmicky to me.

  • i still haven’t got my last 2 items from zapals, has anyone ever actually received an order?

    • I've received 10+ orders from Zapals, mostly low cost or free items with paid shipping.

I didn't receive one order due to Aussie post stuff up, Zapals refunded me in full.

  • Got mine today. Charges my Note 3 @ max 1200mA (doubt this will last though as often as it is with these cheap cables) and my iPod Touch 6th Gen.
