Correct, however a nice feature is that the cards seem to be available faster. I ordered a Coles card (no CC surcharge like AGL - Ambassador) and I got the egift card instantly, where as with AGL-Ambassador the e giftcard takes 3-4 days to arrive.

    • Yes, but you can still pay with Mastercard or Visa and there are no commissions. I also purchased a Coles egift card and it was in the eWallet instantly.
      Very happy with the service!

  • I got offered to be part of Suncorp Benefits by AAMI. So, if you have a policy with them, just give them a call and see if they will send you an "invite".

    • I know I'm really grave digging but I gave them a call just yesterday and got the invite so this information is still valid !

  • I just openned a Free Suncorp Bank Account and tried to login at benefits.suncorp.com.au with password Benefits, it comes up as "invalid login details".

Do i need to register first?

    • You need to wait a few months, they may email you to invite you to register for the program.

    • Give them a call and they will setup account for you. It is different account with your internet banking and you do not have to wait for them to email you.

I bought the Officeworks Gift Card last week, and I am surprised to receive a physical "Coles Group & Myer" Gift Card, which you can use at Coles, Target, KMart, Myer, Officeworks etc.

If you are not in a hurry, the Officeworks Gift Card is more flexible as you can use it in most of the Coles Group stores, as well as Myer.

    • what if they send you the office works gift card?

Also how long you need to wait for the physical card?

      • Does anyone know if you can buy the VISA1 prepaid Visa cards at officeworks using officeworks / coles myer egift cards? (like you can at at Woollies?)

        • Can you try and let us know. Office work should use te rule gift card can not buy gift card

Really depends on officeworks but removing the $6 activation fee you may be $1 profit. Do all this for $1?

        • @LoveBargain15:

Let's say I have a $1000 ATO bill to pay, that I want included in minimum spend requirements for a cc promo, and also earn points on.

The EFTPOS $200 is actually only 206.95. The VISA1 is 207.95.

          5 x 206.95 x 0.95 = $983

So I achieve the above objectives, and I get a 1.7% discount on my ATO bill (using the EFTPOS cards to pay at self service terminals at Australia Post).

        • @endolphin:

Where can you get eftpos or prepaid visa/master for $200 value?

        • @LoveBargain15:

Only at officeworks. Hence my question. Don't really want to be stuck with an officeworks gift card if it doesn't work..

      • Sorry for late reply. The last lot of Officeworks Physical Gift Cards I bought was back in mid August. I received them in 4 days. But bear in mind, I am in WA, and the cards came from either Sydney or Melbourne. If you are in Sydney or Melbourne, I am sure you would receive them within 2-3 days.

You also need to sign for the card.

I am ordering a few more this weekend, and will report back to advise if they are still sending out Coles Group Gift Cards. I am quietly confident it should remain the same.

        • Hi @sschen, do you know if they're still sending out Coles Group Gift Cards?

          • @acai: Yes they are. I bought 3 Officeworks Gift Cards late last week, and received them as Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards a few days ago.

  • Are you guys able to purchase the egift cards through their new suncorp app?

    • yes i have done it a few times….delivery of egift card takes places within 10-30 minutes to my inbox and egift card also becomes available in the app in 5-15 minutes.

      • Which app?

        • +1

download 'suncorp' app n goto rewards tab from the main menu to start saving by buying gift cards

    • “Please be advised Suncorp Benefits is changing to a new program with new benefits. This site will be closing on 30 September 2018”

      • Does anyone know if it will still have Coles egift cards, what the discount will be and what cc can be used to purchase. This is the best way I have found to purchase these so far and if it will cease maybe I need to stock up. Thank you.

  • rebel is 6% isnt it? not 10%?

And anyone know how much is postage?

    • Perhaps it was 10% when this topic was first started?

It is definitely only 6% now.

It is an eGift Card, so no postage fee. See below taken directly from the Suncorp Benefits website:

Pre-purchase your Digital eGift Card to receive your discount. Digital eGift Cards will be sent to you by email and available in your eWallet with instructions on how to redeem. Although we make best efforts for instant delivery, occasionally this may take up to 72 hours.
Valid up to 36 month(s) from purchase.

  • Can someone tell me if you can specify the amount of the egift card you want to buy for example $40 eb games or is set.

    Thanks

    • You can specify the amount from a selection that is provided eg. $5, $10, $25 etc

      • thanks i'm going to open a account

    • EB Games Gift Card is in the form of eGift Card.

Minimum amount is $50, and the Suncorp Benefits allows amount from $50 to $500 to be entered.

      • damn… errr i signed up for nothing :@

        • Why? Are you only wanting to buy $40? You can always buy $50 worth, use $40, and use the remaining $10 on your next purchase in the future?

8% discount is a fairly decent discount.

        • @sschen: Yes only $40. I have to into the branch to register my account or alternatively at Aus Post with a form. Does anyone know what form they are referring to ?

  • Guys, I read that the account's Visa debit card is not free, it's $5 p/a after the first year.

Targeted - is this offer targeted to selected customers only?

Also, how long to get the email for benefits login?

  • hi i noticed on the post no account with suncorp is required now?

  • So, after signing up for a free bank account today, does this still work?
or is it still a wait and see if they send an email about access?

    • keen to know also. any luck so far?

edit - did you try just logging into the app and adding your product like it says on the website?

    • you need to either call them or email them for access.

      • +1

if anyone is reading this after googling, you can just add it in the app like i said. i have just done so.

        • Thanks @dirkgonnadirk
I have a GIO policy and I manually added the policy in the app. 24 hours later I was able to access the rewards page in the app.

Funny thing is, because I do not have a Suncorp bank account, I am unable to pay for any gift cards using a visa card issued by another bank. The only way I can order them is by depositing money first in the eWallet and paying from there!

          • +1

@ashdays: I also have a GIO policy and have just purchased an egift card. I was able to pay with a Mastercard from another bank(an option for Visa was also available). The only thing may be that I registered the card with them a few months ago. I would love to find the same deal where I could pay with AMEX as my Mastercard point are only .75 compared to AMEX 1.25.

  • Can anyone tell me if the Coles, Kmart, Target cards are actually Coles Group cards, ie can be used at any of the brands or only the one brand of store?
Someone mentioned that the Woolworths card is actually a Wish card, would be good if was the same for the Coles ones.

    • +2

Those gift cards can only be used for the specific stores.

    • +1

The Coles card I purchased could only be used in Coles. The best deal for the Coles Group and Myer Gift cards is during the Vogue American Express event - 40% off. Spend $50 to get $20 back at up to 3 different participating retailers.

The Coles Express gift card is actually a Coles Myer gift card that can used at Coles Express, Coles, Kmart, Myer etc…

      • Just what I was after, thanks for the tip

      • Hahaha, yeah. Thought it was a one off, but 3 orders now have been CMGC.

  • While I wait for the Suncorp app development team to fix my rewards access, can anyone tell me if Coles is still 5%, or has it reduced to 4% like RACQ has?

    • Still 5%

  • Do I need a policy to buy the CM gift card? I have to wait 24hrs to see if I can purchase. I have a rewards account now.

    • and I have a few Suncorp bank accounts connected within.

      • +1

        Done. worked!

  • I opened an everyday type account, downloaded the suncorp app and linked the bank account in the app. The benefits sections still says I need to wait 24 hours even though it's been more than 24 hours. Anyone know what I need to do to get this working?

    • +1

I had a similar but different problem, didn't want to download the app so I was using the website. I had to go and login to the 'my suncorp' insurance portal, and add my policy there, not in the benefits section but in the main section of 'my suncorp'. For some reason it didn't save when I searched and added it to the suncorp benefits site, and kept giving me the 'you have to wait 24 hours' bs which really means 'you haven't linked your policy/account yet'. Once I had linked things up it let me buy my prize, a Coles gc.

So maybe try linking your account via the website not the app, YMMV. good luck!

      • +1

Thanks for the tip. I managed to buy a coles card.

My bank account was already connected to "My Suncorp", so I just clicked around and looked for the benefits sections. It seemed to allow me to add to cart and purchase. The app still doesn't allow me to do this. But no worries. There is still a path for people to sign up and get the discount cards!

  • It appears that all the Coles Group physical gift cards that they used to sell have now been converted to egift cards.

Discovered this whilst I was looking to buy some Coles Express gift cards (last time I ordered 1 just after Christmas last year).

Does anyone know if there are any other vendors where we can get Coles & Myer Group gift cards (physical/electronic) (preferably with no credit card surcharge)? (The Good Guys Concierge has them available, but not sure how much they charge for registered mail…)

    • Disaster….your right. Used to buy Coles Express, and they came as Coles Myer. Shite!

      • ACK! Disaster alright…. :( :( :( where to for cheaper fuel?

        • +1

You can buy Woolworths wish egift cards from Cash Rewards for 5% off ( and sometimes more on eBay). These can be used for petrol. In my area Woolworths Caktex Petrol is cheaper than Coles Shell.

  • +1

WW & Coles reduced to 4%…

  • seems to be a good allrounder

  • Coles has been removed totally … anyone has any other sources for Coles e-giftcard?
