Jaycar Electronics Free Delivery

4757

Hi. I've just switched on free delivery on www.jaycar.com.au (standard delivery). So if you would like to buy some electronics with no delivery charge, that would be good. We'll have this free delivery thing switched on for a limited time (probably about…5-6'ish days)

The reason is I watched the YouTube video?

Its a pretty good reason for a neg.

Thinking of buying an LED for $0.25. With free delivery, I am sure they'll make a loss LOL

I would support you but that's bad for the environment lol. The delivery guy is just wasting petrol. A scummy as Jaycar are, it's not worth it.

Only if they are stupid enough to send through courier! Otherwise, it just comes with other mail so no impact to the environment as the postman would pass your house even if you don't have any mail anyway.

    • Great idea.

Christmas presents for everyone home delivered too.

Thanks for the heads up, will be avoiding this merchant

Hey Rep, can't you put some pressure on management to fix the blatant copy issue (or respond with your side of the story if appropriate!!)?
Surely you can see the harm this is doing to your business?

Negging To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

I will never buy from jaycar again

    • Middle finger to u jaycar, your neg here means nothing

  • Wow. As a long time jaycar customer, this shocks me. I apologise to all the hard working staff in jaycar stores but I will be going elsewhere in the future. As an electronics engineer working in the industry, I will be sure to let others know of what I have learnt here today.

  • I've been buying bits and pieces from Jaycar since 1992, looks like it won't be goto store anymore. I'll just wait for delivery.

  • Unethical seller. Shame on Jaycar

  • However, are there any alternative retail shops to buy a couple components like transistors and IC's that may cost only a couple of bucks? Don't want to wait for a month from China…

      http://www.altronics.com.au/

If you are not near a retail store, postage seems to start at $10.

    • Element14 (Farnell) and RS would be the big suppliers. Not the best prices, but plenty of stock. RS are free delivery even on small online orders too.

And for some poetic justice, check https://www.freetronics.com.au/ just in case they have what you need. I've set up a redirect on my browser to send me there just in case I click on a Jaycar link by accident.

      • +1

I'd go to Digikey, Mouser or Element 14 for larger orders

  • Negging for awareness

  • Jaycar Electronics, unethical.

Will not shop at again and will continue to spread the word of the extremely unethical practices present at Jaycar Electronics.

  • 12v 45ah. that's 540W. for $99. String 25 together and you've got a Tesla Powerwall for less than $2.5k!!!

Or, you've just blown your home electrics!

(Disclaimer, obviously not a qualified electrician!) :)

  • Shame on you Jaycar, I was unaware you ripped off Freetronics Experimenters Kit. Thanks to others I now know.
