i can ask for anything off the menu fresh & i get it but they never bother with the whopper patties. it must take a while, just wondering how long.
from raw to cooked. they chuck it in the flame broiler OK now how long does it take?

Are you asking over the counter or in the drive through? If in drive though, its a bit of a dick move as they average order then skyrockets.
they microwave the patties regardless. every now and again roundabout noon, their patties have just come out the broiler and its fantastic. other times of the day their meat patties are seriously lacking.
at mcdonalds their cheeseburger/bigmac patties take about 25 seconds and their QP/mcfeast take about 45 i think to go from uncooked to fresh off the grill. i wanted to know what the case was for hungry jacks from uncooked -> fresh

Not long. They flame grill (using a big machine with a conveyor belt) and then microwave. I would say 1 minutes total time (30 secs to flame grill - probably less actually).
@foxmulder: ur times are probably correct.
I worked in Burger King 15 yes ago (not sure if things change) before and they put the meat patties in a flaming grill roughly about 30 second for frozen patties or slightly faster if it's thawed one. And yes then they store it and microwave it on ordr. If it is just fresh grilled, I skipped the microwave but still a must if there was cheese.
Worked there for 4 years as my first job.
A Whopper patty cooks for between 2:15 - 2:30 depending on broiler temperatures.
To address the above comments also once the patties are cooked they are stored in PHU units to keep them warm until they are needed.
When a Whopper burger is made the Whopper patty is placed on the heel (bottom) of the bun and that is microwaved for 8 seconds while the crown (top) is applied with the mayo, lettuce and tomato. After which the pickles, ketchup and onion is applied and it is wrapped up and sent down the chute!
thanks for your answer! were kitchen staff ever reluctant to cook a whopper patty from frozen, for a single order on the request of a customer? i cant seem to ever get a fresh patty from any hj store, only fries/chicken/onion rings.
Order 'fresh from the broiler'. But please don't do it in the drive thru!

We wouldn't have been reluctant to cook a whopper patty from frozen for a single order. If a customer requests that the meat or fries are cooked fresh it is a pain (especially through drive thru) however it's no problem!
They cook them on the grill first and then just reheat in the microwave as needed from what I have read here before.
