OKI C301DN Colour LED Printer - $103.20 Delivered @ warehouse1.com.au (eBay)

210
PING20

I saw this and bought one as I thought it was a cracking deal. Reviews are pretty decent with most saying you get a lot of bang for your buck. Of course there are better printers out there with more features but if you are after a cheap LED/Laser printer than this could be just what you are after. I believe generic toner can be bought for around $30 per cartridge.

"The C301dn A4 colour desktop printer offers outstanding High Definition colour quality and duplex printing with fast, reliable performance, all in a low cost, compact and highly competitive priced device. The C301dn is networked so is suitable for micro or small businesses that require colour and mono printing of day-to-day business documents for their workgroups. The C301dn is built on tried and tested technology that your business can rely on to deliver over and over again, supported by a 3-year warranty^."

Generic 4 pack colour = new printer

new replacement cartridges are usually full ones eg 1500 or 2500 pages …. the ones with a new printers are start cartridges and have little toner in them.

  • Was searching for a laser, was tossing up between the Brother 3150, but for this price i'll jump. Thanks

    • Me too. I hadn't really heard of LED printers before but from what I've recently read they are very similar to lasers. Some actually prefer them as there's less to go wrong.

  • Bought one. Thanks OP

  • Specs: http://www.oki.com/au/printing/products/colour/a4/c300series…

Notable omissions: no PostScript, no PCL, no Wi-Fi
Notable features: built-in 100-sheet paper (or 10-envelope) tray (in addition to the 250-sheet paper cassette), dual paper output stackers

    • Have two 810n models at work and no pcl makes it a bitch with cups printing apart from using some third party drivers foomatic between its page feed between Mac cups lef and sef. Apart from that it is a good cheap printer

    • Wow.. no PCL or PS? That is interesting.. lucky didnt pull the trigger then. The C321 model has it though.

But the C321DN is 3x the price. Is it really worth it for PS support?

        • Only because they are running out of the C301. I do want my Android devices and Macbook to print to it as well so PCL/PS/Universal Print driver will be good to have. Then again, for 300-400 bucks, would have other models to choose from as well hence why I left it last night.

  • I seriously love my OKI - I have had mine for 3+ years and it is a magnificent device

  • OP (or anyone else), please could you share suggested links to generic toners? Thanks

    • Yes i'd like to know this too, although at $100 for the printer, it might be cheaper to buy a new printer with the starter toners :)

    • All the generics I can see on eBay are $109.90 (undiscounted price) for a set of 4, e.g. eBay item number 182071790339 - any improvements on this (besides eBay discount codes)? No idea if it's any good or not though!
