After posting a few deals for these I just decided to pick 1 up :) just about the cheapest it's been (in AU$).
For me, it just makes life easier having 1 hub and the audio goes through the amp so much easier! :)

Not sureYeah it's been mentioned before that it's not great, but for me it'll work to run the TV through the amp (older TV without hdmi pass-through or whatever it's called).

Ordered one. Apparently PIP for the tv tuner was dropped from Xbox One earlier this year and there's no plans to bring it back. If you can still stream to a tablet while playing a game on the Xbox One then this will be cool enough for $15.
I'm confident you can stream TV to a device whilst playing on the XBone. The tuner runs in the background, and the capture is cloned to a network stream at the same time it's recorded to the HDD for rewinding, so this works.
You can't, however, stream a game to a PC to play, whilst someone else uses the TV for the tuner - the game streaming capture uses the XBone graphics output for the stream, cloning whatever is output through HDMI.
Where's the iOS app for smartglass Xbox One gone? Or is it integrated into the XBox app?

Sorted it - works through Xbox app indeed. No need for separate smart glass app. That must have been in the old days!

Doesn't look like it - Sony Playtv seems to be the best option for Windows. I run one on my pi3 as a tvheadend server.

I wanted this to be a PVR to replace our aging PS3 playTV. Sadly Microsoft like Sony starts something and never finishes it. As someone else said this has the potential to be much better. Worth the price but don’t expect much.
