Hey guys,
Surprised no one has listed these two yet. Big fan of cheap capable Android tablets. Lenovo has finally put in 2GB ram and a non mediatek processor into these beauties. They also left Android fairly stock, big cheers!

I believe none of the big brands give you anything better in terms of screen in this price range. The closest rival I'd imagine is the Galaxy Tab A 8, which is more expensive and has the same resolution. I've heard some random cheap Chinese tablets come with 1080p panels, but I prefer the named brands and local purchase.
Actually earlier models had better specs…
The Tab2 A10-70F had 2gb and a 1920x1200 10" screen. Currently up to Android 6. They used to sell for between $200 & $300.
After that model they split them into a cheap and dear line, these are the cheap end.
Oh yea I forgot the A10 had FHD screens and 2GB ram. Yea it appears even the cheap ones are not so cheap anymore. I really hope the A8 Plus come to Aus locally. Kinda hesitant to grab them off gearbest.
10 inch HD screen ??
No, ten foot (10' not 10") he said.
LOL sorry.
There was a Gearbest deal not long ago which I think is still valid:
Yea that was a really good deal. The only downside being gearbest.
I ordered one. First time using Gearbest. I've read some posts about items never arriving and having to go through an arduous refund process. Is there anything else I should be aware of?
I'm not too sure, I've ordered a few things from gearbest with varying degrees of success. Some stuff arrived, some things didn't.
They were pretty minor 5-10 dollars things and I never bothered chasing up the seller.
My personal view of gearbest is to keep it at small cheap stuff, I would rather spend more and buy from a more reputable place for expensive products. Not too mention warranty hassles and such.
However there are people who perhaps have never had any problems with gearbest.
Go for DHL and it should be fine. Just factor in the express shipping cost and weight it whether it is still worth it
is it 2GB or 3GB。are they different model?
Yea the gearbest one is a higher end model. 3GB ram, SD625 and a Full HD screen are the upgrades.
It's also meant to feel more premium.
8", 800x1280, Snapdragon 425 https://gsmarena.com/lenovo_tab_4_8-8602.php
This or the samsung tab A 10 inch at 299? It's for a 10 year old to play games/watch movies and Netflix. Want 10 inch
For a 10 year old the Samsung software experience might be a bit better, also the Samsung 10 inch tablet has a Full HD (1920 by 1080) screen which would be beneficial for media consumption. Most of the other specs are pretty much on par. Not too sure how the Exynos chip stacks up vs the SD425, but if it can handle a 1080p screen, I'd imagine it's got a decent amount of power.
Personally I don't like Samsung tablets but in your case I'd say the extra cost is perhaps worth it for your child.
Thanks… What do like for around the $250 price range?
For 250, definitely the Lenovo 10 inch one here.
Go for the Samsung as you'll get a better selection cases, better warranty.
I only wrap ours in eva foam cases and they're almost indestructable.
Whether dropped on the floor, thrown down stairs or at each other, they just take the impact & keep going. Obviously won't stop a bashing to the screen on a coffee table.
I've bought three (2 ipads & 1 galaxy Tab A) Best $15(each) I've ever spent on AliExpress.
Just wanted to put out there Huawei m3 ( what I use everyday) is definitely worth it.
Got it for $488 on ebay. Lucky haven't had any issues with it. If you can spend a little more, go for it. 2gb memory isn't enough to run anything except basic android apps these days.
Edit: mine has 4gb and 64gb memory + 4g so this is one of the higher spec tablet
I'd rather buy the Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus - with 4GB and 64GB for ~$350
eg. https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_686283.html
Beside resolution and LTE aside, it's actually a really good deal for lenovo tab 4 plus being $140 cheaper than Huawei m3.
Yeah, just not sure I want to make such a purchase from GB
@nismo: I must be one of the lucky ones having good experience with them. Got all my items so far. Just long waiting times
2gb memory isn't enough to run anything except basic android apps these days.
Rubbish, my phone has that amount of RAM and can run any app without issues.
i think anandtech has some analysis, even for the bad "branded" developer (bad programming) you just need 2.3gig of ram
if it is worst than that…… likely android just crash
you can feel it from Huawei Y6 elite, Huawei has done a good job optimising it and it's faster than Samsung S4
I have my old nexus 7 2013 and it has become pretty laggy despite clearing memory intensive apps. It could just be me but i found it slow. Upgrade to. 4gb tablet and everything is going well so far.
Huawei m3 is a great tablet however I don't trust the Kirin, I don't know why, it just seems doggy to me LOL. Sucks as the rest of the tablet is awesome.
Good that its on Android 7 and that however isn't the screen a bit ordinary for the price?
