Yeah I got a set from Hardly Normal for $49 when on sale
Over 5 years ago though :/
Wages have not kept up with inflation.
I miss Logitechshop. I remember buying those UE Earphones quite regularly from them,
How is the performance? Is it good as a laptop speaker?
YES.
I would say it’s just soso, for both build and sound quality.
For a laptop speaker I personally recommend philps BT100.
Pair it with the Bluetooth Reciever from Hamza! Winning!
Be aware that the 'tweeters' on satellite speakers are fake
They aren't tweeters, they are a port, it's a ported speaker enclosure.
The intention of the look of design seems to be to make you think it is a tweeter
It does look a tweeter, but I think their intention was more to stop kids from dropping items into the port, which would cause warranty claims like "my speaker rattles".
It's a little strange they didn't similarly cap the port on the sub, but as that's a long horizontal port, maybe they thought it wouldn't be a problem.
The center speaker is interesting, it doesn't have a port. As it has two speakers, perhaps only one is a speaker and the other is just a cone, so it acts as a port? I'm curious, but not willing to take mine apart to find out.

The disappointment comes when you find that the ‘tweeter’ is actually just a molded piece of plastic (not even a port), as can be seen from the reverse.
You are right, I was wrong. I poked a pencil down the hole of the Z506, and it just goes front to back, no other exit, so it's not a port.
I also investigated my Z623 speakers, which don't have the hole at the back. I put my ear right up against the "port", and there was no sound coming out, so it's also fake.
They're both excellent speakers in my opinion, even though I was wrong about their design.
Buy it from Officeworks instead. It'll be 5% cheaper until they match prices.
Even after they match prices, Officeworks is closer for most people, and you can get free delivery from Officeworks as the cost is >$50.
Plus you'll have easier returns to Officeworks if the speakers break within warranty.
