I have experience with these cameras and I find that the cameras themselves are quite good as action cams and while I consider the 360 a bit of a gimmick, it is very popular with my subscribers in the limited time we've been using them. The app used to be buggy as hell, but they've certainly improved it in the past 12 months.

Also all the accessories seem to be on special like the goggles and other mounts etc, although I'm sure you can scour ebay and grab those if you need to.

We've got one of these (the non 4k version) at work and it's not great. It's not 360 vertical, only about 230-240 degrees. I couldn't find many programs that supported the 230degree image/movies either for my oculus rift. Most programs are 180 or 360.
