  • Fantastic price. Just purchased one. Thanks.

This AData card gets really rotten reviews on Amazon with a massive failure rate… buyer beware!

    • I've bought a 4gb ADATA card before to use in my camera and it isn't worth it.
Good price, but FML, it constantly has trouble reading from it (from multiple devices)
I thought my devices had issues until I figured out it was the damn card.

Randomly fails and suddenly works again a few hours later.
Sometimes the filenames come up as gibberish.
Also got random "memory card errors" from my camera, which was fixed by a quick pop-out pop-in of the memory card. Ruins the quick shots when the opportunity passes though.

Not tarnishing IT Device's reputation, but from personal experience I'd avoid this brand and get another card if possible.

  • the prices in this deal seem good, but the reviews are scary

  • Not sure which is a better brand AData or Transcend…

Works out to be about same price with current exhanhe rate.

  • Thank you for your comments. Please note, however, that the reviews on Amazon were posted last year, which is more than 1 year old. It could have been a bad batch.

We have contacted A-data headquarter in Taiwan anyway and expect a proper response regarding the reviews posted on Amazon.

Personally we have not seen any negative reviews relating to quality of these cards in recent times.

    Kind Regards,

    • There's quite a few reviews on Amazon from as recently as July 28, 2010. Though they probably purchased the cards a few months earlier.

Anyway, the failure rate could still be insignificant, if 40 people complained, and say 10,000 cards were sold.

    • Anyway it's a life time warranty. There is no ADATA HQ here in Australia so is it simply a return to the store?

      • Yes, you can return it to our store and we will do the warranty (carried by the supplier) on behalf of you.

  • Excellent buy this one…just bought a Nokia N8 and with the 16gig installed (32 all up) I will have plenty of room for my noise…can get rid of the MP3 player now…yahoo…
