Xbox One S does 1080p 60fps on almost all games, and upscales to 4k for output. But does include the HDR data.
It doesn't actually play in 4k though.
One S vs One X is very much night and day.
One S is using 12 GCNs at 917mhz or so.
While the One X is using 40 at 1.1ghz.
It is a LOT more grunt.
There are almost no games that do 1080p/60Hz one One S. Haha.
Most are 900p, 30Hz or both.

There's Halo and Forza. Forza is great, though that's just my opinion.
Xbox has really come along with their backward compatibility so you can play most (I believe) Xbox 360 titles.
Oh yeah definitely forgot Halo also isnt Forza Horizon on PC? That's why I wasn't sure to add it on as one or not.
Btw, Isnt backwards compatibility for Xbox X only or something? Because if it does have BC I'd like to try my hand on RDR.
No, all Xbox Ones have backwards compatibility so you'll be able to play RDR on this one. There's a few 360 games that have been enhanced on the Xbox One X but all backwards compatible games play on all XBOX one machines.
Forza is on PC as well. I guess you could class it as a Microsoft exclusive.
All Xbox Ones play the same games, past, current, future and the backwards compatible. The X just has the added ability of playing some titles at 4K resolution.

Forza Horizon 3 and Killer Instinct are both great games.
Aren't most of them on PC? I try not to double dip when buying games. So far I have PS3/4, Switch and a gaming PC but I'd like to try some Xboxs exclusives like Sunset Overdrive. Looks really fun!
Some are on PC, but their prices are the same as the Xbox One (in short, fairly expensive).
Sunset Overdrive is a really fun game that I personally loved. It has parts of Tony Hawk, Bulletstorm and Deadpool humour mixed in.
PUBG, Cuphead and Black Desert Online imo, those are greatest just in case u don't have a laptop or yours couldnt handle it

What does the Xbox One S look like playingg in 4K, with the upscaling? Im tempted to buy a 4K TV to go with this….
Xbox One S can't handle such 4k in gaming(It still can present 4k videos), only PS4 pro and Xbox One X (Which is the strongest console atm)
Upscaling on the One S is no better than an "A grade" brand TV's panel scaling.
I don't know why but I bought one. I have a PS4 with about 25 games. Only played a few of them but why I clicked buy it now? I don't know!! 🤒
