  How does this compare with the cheaper G1W-CB?
  I want a cheapie for work car, so hence i am not going for a A119
  I mainly to day time driving with it

  I would say that the main issue with something like this is that it’s not using a capacitor battery, which isn’t necessarily a problem but I’m not sure how well they hold up in Australian summers. Maybe taking it out and inside when not in use would at least be a start?

    Batteries can swell up in our hot climate so I recommend folks have a look at Viofo A118C2 or my pick Viofo a119. Reliable and people haven't seem to have had issues with it.

    I know people will call foul considering buying from overseas won't have a local warranty etc etc etc, but the video quality on these overseas units are far far better than the crap you buy locally at same price.

      Yeah exactly, well said, battery and severe heat aren’t good friends/mates/casual office friends who occasionally have a coffee after work but aren’t really that close and will occasionally exchange gifts on significant occasions but then feel awkward about it.

      Has your personal experience with the A119 been largely positive/in-line with the online reviews about it ?
      Any cons so far?

        My A119 died when it was less than 3 months old - sample of 1 know.
        I did not notice much difference in quality to the cheaper Viofo a119, especially not in low-like like the special new lens on the A119 was supposed to have, it was also pretty crap in bright sunlight with lots of flare.

        I 'upgraded' to the more expensive Kapture posted here a while ago - seems fine so far.

        @Wolfy: Thanks! So you would you say the A119 and the Kapture are pretty much on par? Which is smaller?
