    • You know you can put Santa Claus as your name and except the address your all other info can be fake. Disposable email, and they are certainly not going to call you, so fake phone number too.

The fact is with only your address being correct, they can do bugger all… or you could use your stepmother's address :)

    the sale end in 02:00:00
when you clear the cookies and refresh it, it's still 2 hours remaining.. xDDD

Reminds me about the joke about the programming student who had an assignment to code a clock app. He codes an app that just reads 11:00AM, calls up the professor at 10:59AM, runs the code, and hey presta a pass.

        It's still a fake timer.

Maybe they're using one of the fake watches?

Seriously admin should really start taking down deals from this kind of scam site!

    • They need to moderate and revoke positive votes. Its misleading and dangerous. Did any of the 50 people who voted positive receive this product? What is the reasoning behind the votes?

Great! what a shame! all details gone, messed up!

  • wow, I haven't seen so many neg on this…

  • This seems scam

neg for awareness - dont enter your personal details with such ease

A name and address is pretty much public record these days. No DOB, no credit card info, I'm not sure what you think the potential for abuse here is but I think it's fairly slim.

      • That's true, but providing your personal details exposes you to scams/attacks especially since the domain is new. legit businesses make money by analysing data; if it were a well established brand then sure go ahead but who knows what a dodgy site can do

        • from good wibbleman up in the comments:

      • Agree. There is also ip address but for telstra cable it's dynamic anyway so changes. Good practice is having a firewall and virus protection. Don't click on a link in their emails to be on the safe side.
By the way that's why I always use PayPal these days. No cc sent even over secure connection except for a major retailer deal like Harvey Norman Amex.

        • This is grandma's advice tho. IPs are immediately verifiable to the ISP, which is good enough for a verification. And they are also tracked, by many parties in many places.

Now in the days of commodity APTs, spear phishing and broad scale approaches like this, esp those done for commercial let alone criminal purposes, you need to protect yourself by strict following principles around your use of devices and disclosure of identifying information.

And yes, that means, saying no to idiots that demand it as part of their normal business practice. Which is hard. Which means sometimes you have to tell yourself, no, I can't have that. I don't want to buy from that idiotic firm/fool/drone. Doing so only makes me… compromised, seem like a fool too, etc.

Using CC online needs special care. Always check the SSL Cert details, start or restart using a private session. Check the payment payment gateway in the form. Because it can often requires trawling through the browser-side .js code it is may not be worth the trouble so use PayPal or go in store, or do an over the phone 'card not present' transaction with a human or a robot, if they have these options. Remember too that PayPal has been 0wned many times too, and cannot be considered secure. They just don't disclose.

These days your dog and your bank's data is public. Doesn't mean you need to let everyone confirm its accuracy and just keep selling every update you make over and over.

Some people work for a living and pay tax, unlike the data-miners. Having old data out there is better than anything relevant. And it can be quite interesting when organisations try to confirm incorrect data as your own, when it was clearly attributed by a dodgy competition or marketing scam.

      • Oh is it? State your name and address here then

  • That is probably one low quality watch , because they give "2 per customer" to have backup the the first one breaks.

  • Sadly, this whole saga highlights the feeble consumer mentality of a frenzied grab for absolutely anything that's 'free'. Ozbargainers have evolved quite a bit over the years…

  • hmmmm seems legit ? "WARNING: There is a high possibility that this is a scam as the domain is new and lacking in business details. Proceed at your own risk."
