Can you really mix dough with this thing? Seems kind of hard to believe. And if it can't mix dough, then what advantage does it have over the $10 Coles one?

To be honest though, if you were going to do dough you would use a proper mixer, not a hand held.
This one also comes with a blender/juicer attachments which can be handy.

The 500W is not necessarily good news. I had a previous model, but I doubt in this age of cost cutting and profit maximising things changed to the better.
The problem was that the gears inside were made from cheap plastic, probably PVC instead of metal or at least ABS. They wore out quickly and soon after the end of the warranty period I had a useless brick. Your mileage may vary.

Have had two of the Multimixes in the past, they were very good quality. The first was replaced because my wife knocked it into the water in the sink while it was plugged in, the second because we dropped and broke the food processor bowl (from the Multimix 5) and couldn't find a replacement model anymore. Since then we've bought a Breville multifunction stick mixer, but it definitely doesn't sound as sturdy and well made as the Braun.

Got this today for $31 click n collect. Amazing value for money. Wife baked a cake using this within a few seconds. Used speed 1 which is nice and slow splatter free. The whisk atachments were super easy to clean.
Yes a bit plasticy but better than el cheapoo. Comes with chopper and stock attachment.
Cant go wrong at this price. Kambrook one was out of stock so found this.
