    1st post in 10 years - congrats ;)

  • I hope you can read Chinese. No English on this router, and I don't think you can change the firmware.

    And only two ethernet ports?!

    • I haven't used a single ethernet port on my current router in the past decade.
If two aren't enough, you can always daisy chain your old router to get more ports.

    • Easy to translate the pages on Chrome. Once configured, never need to go back again.

      • It'd be nice if people replied with an argument instead of downvoting, eh?
        Maybe it was an accident.

Does chrome translate work for LAN pages, or did you cut & paste?
Some of us may configure a lot more.

        • I didn't go anywhere near voting. Dangerous to assume anything.

I can't remember about the Lan pages. But I do recall playing with the associated app that loads on your phone. Set and forget for me.

        • @Risto:

no, no, your post was downvoted. I'd never assume by whom.

        • @manic: All good, no worries. Sorry.

    • I used the IOS app for this router and the app is mostly in English.

There is a guide on Whirlpool that will allow you to convert the firmware to an English custom version based on an Asus firmware.

Been using two of these for many months with no issue after switching firmware.

I got one of mine for AUD$36 from geekbuying and I've seen it sub-$30 so no deal.

    • I believe the above is the newer 3G model, not the older 3

        You're right, my bad.
