      • -1

Just like it says 'Speed limit 110kmph, but you are stuck in peak traffic doing 20!

        • -1

          Hahah, totally true.👍🏽

  • +3

Had it in my cart. Then I realised I also had to make an account. By the time that went through, sold out rofl

    • +3

Must be why it's so cheap, to get people to make an account and then buy other stuff that isn't really much of a catch.

  • +2

    {"success":true,"cross_sell_html":"","product_id":"439665","product_price":"49.00","quantity":1}
then cart wont load as page is smashed
    then
Sorry, Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System + 21 Super NES Pre-Installed Games is sold out.
    fail

  • +5

It is a good deal, but for an item to be sold out in less than 10 seconds after I clicked add to cart, that's just so not raven.

  • +1

Like most, was in cart, hit checkout, loaded for a while then came up cart empty

    • +2

Mine is still in the cart for $49 - but when I attempt to pay it comes up with a red banner that says out of stock. Still sitting in my cart.

  • +2

Hit add to cart at 8pm on the dot and got the same error as above {"success":true,"cross_sell_html":"","product_id":"439665","product_price":"49.00","quantity":1} . Nothing but click bait for more sign ups.

Why isn't COTD banned from Ozbargain yet?

  • Gone in 60 seconds. Had it in my cart too.

Might have to call this Super Nintendo 'Eleanor'

  • the site didnt show the snes mini on their site until it was 8pm

  • Managed to add it to my cart on the catch app, quickly paid via paypal, got confirmation email from paypal but the order doesn’t show up on the catch site LOL

    • I suspect you got one then, well done. I did the same, click to add, got the javascript prompt in the browser, refreshed the cart link, saw it, hit pay securely, Sorry, Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System + 21 Super NES Pre-Installed Games is sold out.

If you got as far as payment option, i think you got it.

      Keep us posted.

      • +1

        Fingers crossed :)

    • Did you get charged $6.95 shipping?

      • yes, total $55.95

    • Well done and good idea using the app, didn't even cross my mind tonight. I remember some years ago now back in the days of the good catchathons (when COTD actually had awesome deals) - I got a Kindle, Portable HDD, ipad mini and a few other things all through the app at crazy prices. Have to remember this next time.

      • +2

I even turned my wifi off and used mobile data only(Optus 4G). I thought that it's probably not a good idea trying via the home wifi(28 devices connected at that time) LOL

  • Why is everyone cranky?

  • Sigh. got jebaited into making a new acc and giving them a new avenue to spam me on :(

    • +12

ofcourse you got one…. you also just made an account 6 minutes ago to tell us that… ;P coincidence?

lols Catch, at least your marketing/PR team is working around the clock…

      • +1

        Scam ? Marketing ?

    • +2

      I bought the other 49

  • To those that got one, did you get charged $6.95 shipping?

    • yes everyone gets charged shiipping the free shipping is only for the "catch club" members

      • Oh ok, I think I got one but it is not showing under My Orders and my CC did not get charged

        • sounds like u don't got one then :)

        • @pln: haha yep oh well..

  • +1

Oh ffs I'm in Brisbane and I totally forgot about daylight savings….

    • Nah you need a time stop machine instead for this kind of deal.

      • If you live in Brisbane, you already have a time machine. It's just hardcoded to 20 years ago.

        • At least our cows are happy.

        • +1

@The Almighty Dollar: And our curtains fade less too! (I'm here too, but we are a bit behind the times…)

        • You need to STOP the time at exactly 8pm AEST so no one else can checkout other than yourself because it went out of stock at 8:00:01pm.

  • What is the deal with these? Are these a bargain or just rare?

    • At $50 it's a bargain.
JB apparently has them back in stock at RRP.

    • It's both a bargain and rare, but Nintendo will produce and release more of these throughout the Christmas period and into 2018.

  • Get rid of this shit deal off popular deals, sick of seeing COTD deals where everyone leaves more pissed than they came into it

  • Sold out in under 5 seconds. I don't even know how people put through a transaction in that time!

  • +2

this can't be legal. 10 seconds in the cart, fails.
why haven't the ACCC shut them down yet?

    • +6

My Paypal payment went through but the Catch live chat rep said he cannot locate my order and he will escalate the case and refund the money!!! If my order gets cancelled/refunded I will be emailing the live chat transcript to ACCC and I will be also notifying the Mods here.

      • +4

        Don't say I haven't told you so. :))

This is not the first time they have pulled a stunt like this.

A legit business would be out to make a profit not a loss just so a few individuals can buy a SNES at below cost.

        • Today got an email from a “Catch” rep offering me a refund as the item
is out of stock. I have just lodged a complaint with ACCC.

        • @GregFiona: I wouldn't be happy either considering they were happy to take your money! Will be interested to hear what the ACCC come back to you with.

        • @GregFiona: What the outcome? they did it again and got me this time..

        • @charisma: nothing :( Catch has cancelled the pending transaction and ACCC has replied that I need to contect the seller first(which I have done twice via live chat). It's not worth wasting anymore time with this sh#t. I have initiated a "talk to a moderator" topic here on OZB, I really hope this kind of deals get banned ASAP.

        • @GregFiona: Thanks for the info.

  • (profanity), I knew there was something I was meant to do a few hours ago.

  • +1

    Classic bait advertising.

  • So like did the site crash or did the stock just disappear quickly? I remember their first bday bash where they stated they were fixing the lag issue but then an ex-employee told us they did nothing and ate pizza while reading whirlpool. Never used them again after that and they got even bigger.

Also they didn't even encrypt the credit cards and the high ups people threatened to destroy the employees life because of the leak

    • CoTD got even bigger because they thrive on culture of greed.
People keep falling for their click bait advertising and they generate income from clicks and subscriptions.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

  • +2

scam of the day lol .. I remember trying a few times for these deals.. now i just ignore them.. no point in wasting free time on something that is a lottery.

Catch should be banned from OZB.

They purposely sell popular items well below cost price to generate traffic and increase awareness of their site. The losses from selling these cheap will be chalked down as marketing costs. That's why it's always such a small amount of stock being sold.

It's a pretty smart marketing tactic actually.

  • So only 50 units but there are 59 positive votes? How did 59 people get this? And all OzBargainers too?
