Is there any way to convert gift cards purchased at woollies to cash?
Eg perhaps purchase a woollies gift card and then use that to purchase another different card which you can withdraw cash from?

No. Customer service. I've never experienced any issue both in NSW and Vic

The answer to your question is no. They pop up occasionally but quickly get shut down.I think the last one was the Coles mastercard.

You can become a personal shopper for high value clients.
Something along the lines of what they do in private wealth style jobs where you help people spend their money.
Otherwise your best bet is to go to somewhere like Burwood, Hurstville, Campsie in NSW; and sit nearby and sell baby powder for a discount on gumtree or something.
You might get fined for hawking though if you do it on the street. At your risk.
Do you buy food?
Just buy Woolies gift cards (i'm assuming you're getting these cards from points or something) and then divert the money that you would have spent at Woolies to whatever your other cause is, and use the gift cards. It's essentially "converting them to cash".

Much simpler to just keep your cash in the first place.
Not sure if this hack still works, but you could try:
A year ago, I was given a Chadstone gift card. Went to buy something at Portmans, selected "Savings". A week later, went to return it, and I was told because "Savings" was selected, it was treated as a cash/EFTPOS sale, so they just put the money into my normal savings account.
I then spent the rest of the gift card, and did the same. Got money =)
They're Woolies gift cards. Do you eat? I'm sure you'll be able to use them up pretty quickly.
The only thing I’ll suggest is offering to pay someone’s grocery bill using the gift card in return for the cash..
Can't purchase a gift card with a gift card. If you want to make cash off of it, your best bet is to sell it - perhaps try gumtree.
