    • Not sure why you got negged, it looks like you're correct, the first link was free in January as the most recent Cache view.

      • -1

They were the first 3 I checked too…

        • Oh well, at least TA is sharing it for others, free is free.

          @doweyy:

          free is free.

free ebooks that are always free belong in the forums

        • @jv:

I will audit the books using ereaderiq and Google cache. Results shortly. You are correct, if they are always free, then they should be in the free software/website forum.

In progress: As of 12AM, 88% of books were paid and made free recently.

EDIT: After checking 25 or so books, I'm satisfied that this posts meets posting guidelines.

    Thanks TA.

Interesting story, I introduced my Ex to OzB by occasionally sending free samples to her address especially the girly stuff like creams/moisturisers etc.

The relationship ended however I ended up meeting with her while visiting some mutual friends. She mentioned OzB and specifically TA and all his contribution so we both had a laugh about it. Thanks TA :)

It's most posts by TA now, they're low quality but voted up because of his or her status. Bad for new users, they'll think that the average quality of posts is lower than it really is

        • If you have an issue with the product or the company, then fair enough. But let's not make this personal against the poster. Let's keep things respectful.

        • @neil:
          hmmm

@kakubin: You aren't 1% the Ozbargainer TA is.

      • What are NSFW deals?

You're not finally going to allow "adult" deals amongst the gun deals surely?! :)

        • +1

          What are NSFW deals?

          New South F Wales !!!

        • What are NSFW deals?

          NSFW Deals.

        • @neil:

Thanks Neil, I was overly hopeful that this was something new for the "Adult" categories currently banned.

How does this help him not liking this deal? If I buy a cake for $4 at woolworths and don't think it's a good deal, would you tell me to block Woolworths?

        Not exactly great.

Also why does OzBargain remove negative votes on votes that get a few downvotes? What's the point in having a different opinion if it's made redundant?

        • How does this help him not liking this deal?

          Voting Guidelines

If you don't like the deal, then don't vote. If you lik.e the deal, then vote. If the deal is not the cheapest available, is a defective product or a major issue with the retailer then use negative

Also why does OzBargain remove negative votes on votes that get a few downvotes?

The community votes against the comment attached to the negative vote. Enough votes and the negative vote is revoked.

What's the point in having a different opinion if it's made redundant?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

        • -3

          @neil:

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

There are a couple of stalkers in these forums that disagree with that though…

        • -1

@neil: The comment is required to vote. So they're not voting for the comment alone. Pretty bad concept.

Huh? If you think the deal is not a bargain, don't vote? This is OzBargains, if I think the deal isn't a deal, I'll vote to show it isn't. Then my vote will subsequently get removed because enough people disagree with me.

          It's censorship at it's finest.

        • @StoneSin:

Huh? If you think the deal is not a bargain, don't vote?

Yes, that's our voting system for close to 11 years based on much testing and community feedback. Just like Australia has different voting systems to other countries or body corporate and their voting systems, we have our own system in which members abide the guidelines.

Please feel free to make any suggestions in regards to voting or whatever in the site discussion forum.

        • @neil: Not censoring the other side of a discussion is clearly a luxury you guys don't want to afford.

      • Here is some more proof Neil: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/337509

Anyone but TA would be negged to oblivion. Why is this shit on the front 2 pages?

        • Anyone but TA would be negged to oblivion.

106 votes for the same product. :)

        • @neil:
They're the same people i guess haha

        • TA has posted the same product for less than half the price. Yet the first deal by another user currently has more votes and is double the price.

        • @kakubin:

Actually, only 5 people from the original deal with 105 votes voted for the new deal with 70. Roughly 93% new voters than the previous deal.

        • @neil:
          Same type of people.

Back to the original point, this deal is rubbish. The clicks to vote ratio is very low. People are voting it up because it was posted by TA

      • How do you embed pictures in your replies?

        • Only enabled for mods.

        • @neil: ah thanks.

    • you can't teach the blind to see i guess

        • +1

I'll keep trying, thank JV. Vote YES

        • @kakubin:

Practice makes perfect kakubin. Vote NO

      • You've voted positive for a TA deal previously? Further, if people don't like a deal, TA is not immune to criticism, and just like any other user will get negative votes, for example this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/240289#comment I actually feel that the deals TA posts are scrutinised more so than many other users, firstly as he has contributed so many high quality deals here so people expect that to continue, and also because of his employment with Cashrewards, so some users seem suspicious and question his motivation or intention. Being obsessed with OzBargain for I while, I have seen that even before his employment TA was as hardworking and placing just as much effort into finding deals than he is now, with nil financial kickback. I think Ozbargain would be an incredibly poorer community without him. I guess these are my thoughts anyway.

        • -1

Sorry but your comment is too long to read. Most of what TA posts is useless crap.

        • +1

@kakubin: Useless crap to you. Keep your assumptions to yourself, unless you have read every book above, can you comment? It's not Ozkakubin, the world doesn't revolve around you, others may find TA's post useful and great. If not, move along, if there's something wrong with the books, comment.

BTW, click to vote ratio is low because it's not just one book, it's 100! You're coming across like a little raging child.

        • @kakubin: I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing you feel that way.

        • @justmiike:
          Hehe. I don't read books.
Can't I just hate the bad deals posted by TA in peace?

  • Science Fiction: Reverence books 2-4 Kindle edition are also (currently) free. Don't know if this is permanent tho.

    • Not for me - they're 'Free' on Kindle Unlimited, but USD$2.99 to buy.
