Well, it's a quiet couple of weeks, so after a good response in 2014, Springdale Legal (WA) is again offering a range of legal services at a reduced price. These services can all be executed via email and electronically (with consultation in Perth in mid-November as required).
Particulars:

Simple Wills (includes nomination single, joint and substitute executors, rights of occupancy, guardianship of minors): $200 individual or $300 for married couple.
Codicil (for minor changes to existing Will): $120.
Power of Attorney (to give authority to another while you have legal capacity: $150.
Enduring Power of Attorney (to enable another to exercise your financial matters if you lose capacity, for example through ill-health), Enduring Power of Guardianship (deals with lifestyle decisions) or Advance Health Directive (deals with end-of-life decisions): $110.
Guarantors' Advice (for borrowers, franchisees, indemnifiers etc - consultation must be during week beginning 8 November): $500.
Employment Contract / Independent Contractor Agreement / Service Agreement / Licence Agreement / Confidentiality Agreement / Promissory Note: $300.
Loan Agreement / Partnership or Co-ownership Agreement: $500.

Other Services (including Binding Financial Agreements [commonly known as 'prenups'] $2000 to $3000 depending on complexity) available on request.
For some services, electronic documents will be sent to complete before drafting begins. Clients must use email.
Some services may require payment into Trust Account prior to drafting.

I will be on Ozbargain today for a couple of hours, and each morning, but won't be entering into any arguments re free Wills / lower prices etc!

Direct contact preferred as per contact details on website.

Cheers!

        • Cheers. Edited.

  • For minor changes to an existing will do we just send you a copy of our old one with the minor changes required and you redo it in your format etc.?

My wife and I had our wills done a few years ago just need to add in our property we purchased this year and also another child that was born after the original will

    • Yes, it depends how minor are the changes. If I am to redo it in my format (with my wording) it would be a new Will). For minor changes such as a new property, a codicil should suffice. I will need to see the original Will.

      • Sure. I guess what I meant was because the original will is hardcopy and you are adding a new paragraph or two then you might need to retype the whole thing but retain the same wording?

        • A new para is added in a codicil, not in the Will. Maybe for the specifics we should speak directly?

  • Was interested in this then realised you are in Albany. Too far away unfortunately.

      Cheers Kryss.
Yes I am. I don't expect many people on here will be as well, that is why everything I have offered here is able to be done electronically, using my online ID verification etc. With the exception of the Guarantors' Certificates, which will be actioned when I am at my office in Ellenbrook in week starting 13 November.

      • So a couple's will (kids, house) can be sorted and be done for $300? I'll have a chat to my other half, thanks :D .

        • Sounds good. I have a prepared questionnaire with information about the process, if you want to PM me your details or contact me.

        • @oxleyroad: Did you get my PM following your last reply? Cheers.

  • Do i have to live in WA or can ypu do i terstate through email?

    • Yes, these particular matters can be done electronically.

  • Rates for father in laws adoption of partners child?

    • That is not a particularly simple matter, it requires an adoption order in the family Court. Give me a call if you want more info.
