    • Well you have to make the purchase before the deal ends, but yes you have 1 year from now to actually use it :)

  • Black Angus Beef Bacon ???

    • for muslims and jews who don't eat pork bacon…

      • why would someone neg this? blatant ignorance that he's actually not kidding?

  • Also, there is a $30 delivery fee, please put in title…

  • Sadface :(

  • Extended for another 24 hours!

It's a side deal now, but continued from where the previous one left off.

I think there must have been some sort of divine intervention for this to happen :p

  • So the deal is not active yet? I thought it has to be active before it can be posted.. Or can it be posted if it requires just 1 more person to activate the deal?

"cooks in half the time of regular supermarket meat as it’s not filled with all that unnatural stuff :)"

    Come on.

    • If anything it would take longer to cook than the dirty supermarket meat. I think they use sodium nitrite, which as a salt would soak up some of the moisture in the meat.

      • Apparently not:

"Grass fed beef has high protein and low fat levels, the beef will usually require 30% less cooking time and will continue to cook when removed from heat. For this reason, remove the beef from your heat source 10 degrees before it reaches the desired temperature."

        • Comparing grass fed beef compared to grain fed beef is VERY different to claiming that supermarket beef is 'filled with unnatural stuff, so it takes twice as long to cook'.

Why do people think our food is full of all these bizarre things? Or that it would affect cooking time? Come on, apply some critical thinking.

    • I just like that they thought steak cooking time was really a concern for anyone.

      • Not exactly about having enough time to cook it, but I think it's more about preventing you from over-cooking it :P

Think of all that energy and greenhouse gasses you will save when cooking it. That could go in the deal post too!

Although… do grass fed cows fart more though, thus making it worse for the environment than the shorter cooking time offsets?

    • This is just what I read on the site. What's the point you are trying to make though? It makes sense in my head..could just be marketing, so prove me wrong if you wish.

This doesn't even appear to be a bargain?

    $99 + $30 = $129

    $129 buys ONE of these:

    A. 4kg of eye fillet & 1kg snags for a total of 5kg of beef @ $25.8/kg
    or
    B. 7kg rump @ $18.42/kg
    or
    C. 6.2Kg mixed @ $20.8/kg + some bacon.

And they expect us to believe that these prices are at a 50% discount. Who would pay $51kg for eye fillet…

This could explain why they couldn't find 10 people dumb enough to over pay for meat online.

    • Ok, I don't know a whole lot about the prices of meat. But can you buy the same quality for anywhere else at this price? I'm willing to be proven wrong - I have no stakes (lolpun) in this company, but it really sounds like they know what they're doing when it comes to beef…

    • As for the "dumb" comment, see here: http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/647/just-99-for-205-worth-of…

That's a decent amount of dumb people you got there..

      Be reasonable.

It only requires 1 more, so it IS active. The next person to buy it gets the deal. How is that inactive?

If it needed 20 more, you might have a case.

I don't know how everyone managed to turn this into such a big drama. It is a good deal because you are saving 50% off a normal purchase. How you can argue against that is beyond me..

      • Per the Group Buy guidelines:

Only deals that are active are allowed to be posted on Ozbargain. A deal is considered active when a user goes to purchase the deal and their sale is immediately finalised. Deal republished with apologies.
