Seems like a very decent price for the updated version of the well regarded x2. From some reading only the headband and padding has changed, sonic properties same as the original.

I have recently bought the Sennheiser hd 26 Pro. It will be interesting to compare it with this once I have received the item.
serious question are these good how do they compare in sound quality to qc 35 and sennheiser hd 650 I know all diff price but curious?
The qc35 has the best anc currently out there - you wouldn't be buying it primarily for sound quality. IMO the X2 beats the qc35 in sound quality hands down.
I have both the QC35 and Sony MDR1000X and I think the sony has better ANC, they're very close though.
X2 is on top of the list if you don't have an amp, very easy to drive with a mobile.
hf 650 is on top of the other list, hard to drive. it will surely out perform x2, with a decent amp.
a $120 studio headset is much better than a qc35, in terms of SQ.I own all in question so should be an ok judge. I prefer the HD650 for comfort but definitely prefer the X2 sound - this is only because I like a harder hitting bass. They're quite heavy after a "long sesh" but otherwise I would highly recommend them, especially for this price!
Yes it's great. For this price you even get the X2HR instead of the standard X2 model.
thank you very much for all the replies I now own all 3 aswell I just need to find a amp for the hd650 any suggestions?
Should I or shouldn't I…
Its been that price a few times now. Id wait for amazon, likely to go around 180
Are you thinking of the X2 model which has been on sale several times. This is the X2HR model which hasn't been on sale very often at all. The last and only time i can find that it was on sale was back in August this year for $255.20. So this deal here beats that by a bit. I can't see the X2HR model going for $180.
$9 Cheaper here :) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Philips-Fidelio-X2HR-Headphones-…
That one there is the damaged product packaging box deal.
I normally throw the box out after unboxing.
