OzBargain iOS App I'm Working on

Hi everyone!

Would people be interested in a standalone iOS app for OzB? I know there is one in the app store but it's literally a web wrapper with ads thrown over the top. I spent some time over the last 2 days making this.

So far I have just two pages, the home and the deals. You can pull to refresh and when you click on a cell it opens a nice safari view controller of the website. Because I'm just using safari view controller, you can stay signed in and comment without issue on their mobile site.

if you think it's pointless, that's okay too. It was a mini project for myself and I was annoyed having to use safari every time.

    Why is the date in USA style? I assume that can be changed.

      Whoops, yeah of course it can. I used the wrong format string without realising. Fixed now

    Will this be available for Android as well? Will be good to be able to login, post, vote as well as copy, share links. This is currently lacking in the Android app I use.

    Mobile view of the site. Simples

    Has access to everything I need (including what I need for Power User-ing) and nice and clean.

    Whole reason why Scotty & Co have never bothered making one

      ^100% this. I think it's great that you're showing initiative, OP, but just out of interest, what do you think an app would add that the mobile site doesn't already offer quite well?

    Yes please! I really enjoy the Android app on my other phone but would love one for the iOS, for reference to the android:

    I wouldn't mind receiving notifications of search terms I subscribe to, instead of emails, so I can jump on them quicker. Is this something you can add to your app?
