Is there significant difference between the Hero 5 and Hero 6? Enough to justify an extra $200?

no, couldnt decide if it was worth it yet.
The Biggest differences from 5 to 6 in My Opinion are:
1: Electronic Image Stabilisation on 4K30 footage. The samples i've seen the image stabilisation looks great and now works when recording at 4K unlike on the 5 where it only works on 2K and below.
2: 4K 60 FPS. So much smoother and allows more flexibility with adding slow motion in editing.
3: Better slowmo at 1080p240FPS. I haven't looked much into this as I don't like the quality of GoPros 1080p footage.
I'm upgrading from a Hero 4 Silver so its a no brainer for me.
But in your case I'd only upgrade from a Hero 5 right now if you think your current 4K footage is either too shakey or you capture a lot of slow mo shots.
