These types of watches are everywhere on Aliexpress for a similar price. The sub dials are for display only.

The Geneva from Gearbest was $0.77 USD here a few weeks ago, I ordered 2

    • Here it is, posted 30/09/2017 for US$0.77 shipped (~AU$0.97)

There's also still This geneva one available for $0.90USD using 70%OFF$1, different type though.

      • Ha! Two of them are missing the A in Geneva. And I'm seeing higher prices.

        • +1

Lol, GENEV must be a very popular brand, I think it's only white/black available using that coupon.

    I love the description.

Do you want to show your personality? This watch is a symbol of your temperament. Fashionable design makes the watch all-match. This watch is a good choice for you.

But in all fairness, GearBest should inform shoppers the subdials do nothing.

    • +4

I think it's sensible to expect nothing in working order for that price…

      • True, but some shoppers are much more vulnerable than us.

should inform shoppers the subdials do nothing.

then also say its not from Geneva :-)

      • +1

Oh please, you mean Genève. Let's show a little class around here!

This really is near the bottom of the barrel. Faux sub-dials - case has no buttons hehe, scratch resistant alloy (yeah right!), paper dial, Swiss reference with Geneva and let's not mention Tissot want their PRC 200 name back! This is just a toy really. Pop open the case (no screw back her folks) and the movement will be the size of a finger nail. Follow the links WatchNerd provided and you'll find some budget cheapies for a bit more that will be much better.

    • PRC = Peoples Republic of China, obviously.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to hear that a $2 Swiss watch is no good.

      • +1

On this watch called 'Geneva' that's debatable!

It think the naming right to 'Geneva' were aquired by a shrewd businessman in Shenzen during the quartz crisis. Apparently Geneva, sometimes shortened to Genev for impact, was the name given to a single watch produced in a small family pocket watch repair shop in Switzerland by the work experience boy in 1813.

      no screw back her folks

What I do in my own spare time is none of your business.

…you noticed. Manic had a prime opportunity and he blew it!

        • +2

          I'll pop open her case.
          No, that doesn't really work…

          I'm a little late, sorry.

    • Wow hot tip bro. You're saying not to expect too much from a $2 watch? You're even better than WatchNerd! Teach me! I want to learn your secrets!

Unfortunately they're not available right now, but fear not as i am here to impart my wisdom, knowledge and expertise to assist you in this and other critical life choices.

But my secrets, no. If i was to share my secrets they would no longer fit the category of secrets, and every man has and needs secrets. Without them i would be a hollow man, an incomplete man.

        God bless, bro.

          Amen to that.
