Nice price. These are $169 at JB but even that's at $30 off, normally $199. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/headphones-dj/headphones/blueant/b…

Shows the rip off inflated aussie prices at work again.

  • I just paid $169 a week ago :(

Yeah i hate when that happens. You buy some thing thinking you got a good deal, and the next thing you know there's another deal elsewhere at over half of the price which you just paid.

    • How are they? Is the sound over-the-top bassy, or ok?

      • probably not a good choice if your not into your bass.

I bought 2 of these from Amazon in March 2017 through a deal posted on OzBargain then. I paid a bit more about $78 each shipped, so the price is pretty good right now.
These are a great pair of headphones, sounds bassy and mids and treble are good too. I am not an audiophile junky but I enjoy listening to these in the gym. The battery life is phenomenal.
I only charge it once in like 3 weeks (keeping in mind that I only use it at the gym, 4-5 times a week). I have made a few phone calls and the call quality is great too. Have not ever had the other person complain that they couldnt hear me while I was on the headphones.
I do have a complaint to make of these, (I did see that a few others had mentioned the same thing on Amazon.com reviews etc) = My only gripe with these are that the ear muffs absorb sweat like crazy and they smell a bit after a few days. Yes, you can take em off and soak em in water/mild detergent etc, I did try all that but the smell is hard to get rid of.
But other than that, great value for money.

    • How do you deal with getting hot ears? I'm using them currently (I like them - never had something similar before) but my ears get super hot wearing them!

      • +1

Yeh just looking at them i can tell i wouldnt wear them to the gym and i doubt they are made for it. Sure people sweat and wear them in hot places other then a gym but i definitely wouldnt wear them in a situation i know im going to get hot and sweaty.

I have seen some that look a bit better suited for the gym but really wouldnt it be smart to wear some bluetooth plugs? i mean how awesome do you need the sound to be for gym use…

      • Freighter - Sorry I have not noticed my ears getting warm whilst using them. I have mostly used them in an air-con gym but i have been out on a few walks outside with them on. Are you maybe allergic to the material on the ear muffs ?

worthy1 - The entire BlueZone range is designed and marketed as being workout gear. Have a look at the description/features on the Amazon page > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F79HKFQ. These headphones are quite rugged in my opinion. They clamp onto my head very securely and I have had no trouble with them being loose while doing high intensity workouts at the gym.

      • double up-sorry

Thanks for the deal! Been looking for a nice pair of wireless headphones but not wanting to splurge too much, will update with how the headphones are when they arrive

    • hey, how were they?

      • +1

        Oops, forgot to update
For their price, the headphones feel solidly constructed and it's cool how they come with a spare 3.5mm cord and carrying case, along with the charging cable, pairing is quick and painless - automatically links up with your paired device once headphones turn on
Battery life has been fantastic (great for bus and train rides), and they definitely don't fall off once you put them on, though I have been getting discomfort and my ears start to ache after a couple hours of use, but I think this is because I'm not wearing it properly and also I wear it with a hat too, so experiences may vary. All in all, it's a great purchase - it's kind of sad that you can get them for this price overseas, ironically Blueant are australian, and they price it at around $150 domestically

        • Thnaks for the grate update. I might buy a pair. Didn't realize Blueant is an Australian company!

  • Do they work with the iphones? And how good are they really?

    • Having universal bluetooth, can't see why not. They sound pretty good to me for the price from what I see and read, but sound quality is very personal according to taste.

  • do they stay on your head

    • +1

Yes they are quite firm and clamp on very securely on the head.

      • thanks! previous headphones while lifting would fall off constantly

  • I just bought these from Aliexpress https://tinyurl.com/y9sbhvpm

I wonder how they stack up against these BluAnts?

    • I don't know. That just leads to a little dot in the middle of the screen.

      • oops. These. Was just after a second pair to keep in the car. I;ve read these are fairly good considering their price.

        • how are these going for you?

        • +1

          @El Cap:

They're OK. Sound is not all that well balanced, however that is comparing to my set of Panasonic RP-HC700s. I just use them Ausdoms as a spare set in the car for the kids to use on trips. I'd say they're worth it for the price, considering they're Bluetooth.

I also have another pair of ausdoms arriving soon. Meant to be more 'premium'. Ausdom H8. We'll see if they're better.

        • @edshays: thanks for the info.

  • Hey OP they just dropped another 1 USD - now $59.41 USD delivered
